    This thesis presents the mechanisms of the functioning of the electricity market in Poland. Very important aspects such as energy security and to energy prices were presented. The system and characteristics of colorful certificates were described. Obligations and conditions of the operation of a small power company as a consequences The Energy Law were analyzed. The process of making tariffs for distribution and trade in electricity on the basis of analyzed company were shown.
