In the M. SC. thesis theoretical background TDEM method, measurement methodology, application were presented. Considered the dependence depth of investigation TDEM method of the level of noise, transmitter loop size, power and earth resistivity. Using IX1D program resolution analysis was performed on synthetic data using 1D Occam inversion. Synthetic models were based on electric data from the borehole Genpeg 62 (eastern Carpathians). Geophysical Company from Warsaw made the electromagnetic measurements in this area. On field data from this region for the profile number. 4 is presented an example of the interpretation of 1D Occam inversion method. Objective: To assess the possibility of using TDEM method for mapping low-resistivity structures in the eastern Carpathians On the basis of the analysis found that this method can be applied successfully using the methodology of measuring MulTEM.

Podstawy metody procesów przejściowych i możliwości jej zastosowania w wykrywaniu złóż węglowodorów

This paper describes the principles of the transient electromagnetic method (time- domain electromagnetic method, TDEM) as well as TDEM measurement systems, data processing and 1D data interpretation techniques. The paper discusses also some problems of resolution and penetration depth of the method. We calculated and discussed TDEM sounding curves for three-layer geoelectric models, which consisted of a high-resistivity middle layer and low-resistivity upper and lower layers. The calculated curves were analysed from a viewpoint of a possible mapping of high-resistivity structures that could be hydrocarbon-prospective areas. The application of TDEM sounding to oil and gas exploration was evaluated.

Przestrzenna analiza wyników interpretacji krzywych sondowań TDEM dla wybranych danych z obszaru występowania złóż węglowodorów

The aim of this project was to interpret the results of spatial analysis of sounding curves TDEM for the selected data from the prevalence of hydrocarbon “Grabownica”. In first step the synthetic sounding curves were analyzed by Occama method. Then the results of the interpretation were visualized as 2D sections. The last and the most important stage of this project were spatial analysis of results, and the integrated data interpretation was made to estimate the capability of the TDEM method to map hydrocarbon deposits at the study area.

Zastosowanie metody procesów przejściowych do wykrywania złóż węglowodorów w rejonie Grabownicy Starzeńskiej - Humnisk – Brzozowa

The paper presents the geologic and geoelectric characteristics of the Grabownica Starzeńska - Humniska - Brzozów area (Polish Eastern Carpathians) based on electric logs and downhole geologic data. Synthetic TDEM sounding curves were calculated based on electric log data from four boreholes from the study area. The synthetic sounding curves were analysed from the point of view of possible interpretation of high-resistivity layers that could be prospective for oil and gas exploration. The 1D Occam interpretation of chosen TDEM soundings from profiles that ran across the Humniska Brzozów-7 borehole, was performed. The integrated data interpretation was made to estimate the capability of TDEM method to map hydrocarbon deposits at the study area.
