Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Petrologia lamprofirów z Chamberlindalen, SW Spitsbergen(Data obrony: 2014-09-24) Farajewicz, Milena
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaIntrusions of minette – type lamprophyric and ultrabasic rocks have been found in Chamberlindalne are, Wedel Jarlsberg Land, SW Spitsbergen.. The minette is primitive in nature with high Mg# and has near – liquidus assemblage consists of phlogopite, clinopyroxene and apatite. Based of major elements it is transitional between typical minettes nad more Ca – rich lamproites. It is characterized by extreme enrichment in LREE (La, Ce) nad LILE (Cs, K, Ba, Rb) and relatively to them depletion in HFSE (Nb, Ta, Hf, Zr, Ti), but not to degree known for rocks from active subuction zones and unusually high abundance of HREE, all those features indicate lithospheric mantle source metasomatized by subduction – related fluids and melts and magma generation in within – plate tectonic setting. Ultrabasic rocks have cumulatic fabic and consist of amphiboles, pyroxenes and secondary phases after olivines, normative CIPW minerals plot these rocks in olivine norite field on a classification triangle. They were formed in within – plate setting, have similarities in trace element pattern and trace elements ratios to the minette’s, what indicates the same metasomatized mantle source.
