Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Detection of salts deposits geometry variation(2012) Kawalec-Latała, EwaCechsztyńskie złoża soli kamiennej rozpatrywane są jako jedno z ważnych, potencjalnych miejsc składowania odpadów radioaktywnych oraz dwutlenku węgla $CO_2$. Korzystne warunki do budowy takich kawern stwarzają złoża pokładowe soli kamiennej o znacznej miąższości (pow. Do modelowania syntetycznych sekcji pseudo-impedancji akustycznej wykorzystano autorski program INWERS.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , How to localize an Underground Gas Storage (UGS) in a salt structure of the Fore-Sudetic Monocline in light of its geomechanical properties(2016) Zeljaś, DagmaraThe analysis of formal and legal regulations revealed that Underground Gas Storages are a favorable option in Polish conditions. The author presented a possible localization of an UGS in a salt structure of the Fore-Sudetic Monocline, indicating the advantages of the area and problems to be solved. Attention was paid to the UGS stability and complexity of this issue. The presented strength indices and rheological parameters of salt were based on laboratory experiments. In the future they can be used at the stage of designing and performing geomechanical analyses.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Metody monitoringu podziemnego składowania CO2(2005) Tarkowski, Radosław; Uliasz-Misiak, Barbara; Szarawarska, EwaUndeground storage of CO2 requires control by using monitoring. It needs to be done at the moment of choosing the site for sequestration and also after finishing the process of injection. The aim of monitoring CO2 underground storage is tracing CO2 spreading in geologic formation, controlling injection the integrity of wells during and after operation, verification of CO2 volume, which was injected and controlling parameters of injection. The article presents methods for monitoring underground storage of carbon dioxide used all over the world: measurement of reservoir and exploitation parameters, direct and indirect (well logging, time lapse seismics, crosswell seismics, electromagnetic monitoring of CO2 sequestration, electric resistivity tomography, gravimetric monitoring of aquifers, passive monitoring) methods for detecting the CO2 plume, satellite and air bore methods for detecting land surface deformation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Metodyka badań soli kamiennej w warunkach konwencjonalnego trójosiowego ściskania dla projektowania podziemnych magazynów(2007) Flisiak, DanutaIn many research centres concerning with rock salt utilization for underground storage there is confidence of ability to load resistance with preservation large ductile deformation without failure. Tiaxial tests show that whole range of stress and temperature which are accompanying underground caverns utilization, in three-dimensional stress state exist clear boundary between compressibility and dilatancy domains. The effect from increase irreversible volumetric strain is rapid increase of creep rate with power dependence of stress and approaching a brittle failure as a result of creep. Rock salt deformation properties, defined as dilatancy boundary and creep rate, also depend on small change of temperature, with strength preservation. Paper presents laboratory procedures of triaxial tests, necessary for geomechanical effects analysis in storages surroundings. For selected example, using of research results for stress criterion determined for long-term stability of rock salt is showed up.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Study of underground natural gas storage in a reservoir from the Transylvanian Depression(2007) Grigoraş, Ioan DanThe paper has the following targets: the analysis of the geological model, the determination of the optimum storage and exploitation conditions and the evaluation of the possibilities of increasing the storage capacity of the reservoir.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The technical management of the underground gas storages of medium capacity in Transylvanian Basin (Romania)(2006) Ştefănescu, Dan-Paul; Piteiu, Marcel A.; Tătaru, Argentina; Vlasín, IoanaThe present worldwide energetic crisis represented by the natural decline of the gas fields associated with a very increased demand for new reserves discoveries claims for a more accurate approach of the whole technical and economical strategy. In this general context, the efforts supported by Romanian national gas company „Romgaz” for the development of new underground gas storages of medium capacity are really significant.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Tłumienie drgań kolumny rur pompowo-sprężarkowych w odwiercie podziemnego zbiornika gazu(2006) Savula, Stepan; Harčenko, ÏvgenWhile pumping gas from the main pipeline into the gas storage and vice versa, turbulent processes appear in the well that quite often results in considerable vibrations of the lover part of the column of the tubing string. Because of this, the column screw thread halving is weakened, lower pipes sometimes unscrew and fall into the well. It substantially violates the normal operating mode of the gas storage and negatively affects its productivity. If the lower end of the column is not fastened then it takes the dominant role in the vibration processes. Fixing the lower part of the column by means of spacing devices substantially enables decreasing the amplitude of the tubing string and improving the conditions of the screw thread halving.
