This dissertation show the consequences of urbanization on underground water flows. Below, there are problems to be mentioned, and there are, tie work of water intake, the change of river system flow, the change of urbanization of tie surface terrain, as well as hydrotechniqual urbanization and melioralization, and postindustrial dumping sites. The abovementioned aspects are to be confronted with the consequences on underwater flows. The analysis of data has covered the terrain of Tarnow City, basing it on the Tarnowskie Wodociągi and Zaklady Azotowe Documentation.

The land management plan sets the rules for the proper land use, taking into account conservation of the natural, landscape and cultural resources. Before developing the land management plan, identification of the whole of environmental conditions in the analysed area is necessary. This thesis aims to present the most important geoenvironmental conditions of the Skotniki area that should be considered before developing the land management plan. All elements of the natural environment have been analysed and characterised. Additionally, present ways of land use as well as real threats caused by anthropogenic activity have been presented. Possible directions of the area development, based on the analyses made, have been shown in conclusion.

A city in itself is a multicultural structure. This concerns specially cities founded or developed during intensive industrialization, connected to rapid growth of population. In spite of standardizing urbanization processes and the ideological doctrine imposed by the communist regime, the society of Nowa Huta has also been revealing attributes of multiculturality typical of urban immigration centers. However, it represents its specific variation resulting from the time and place where it was located and has been developing.
