    The aim of this study was to evaluate the possibility of using the energy of dust generated as waste in the process of burning coals. The literature review describes the currently used directions use of fly ash , as well as new directions that are at the research stage. As part of the research work performed evaluation of fly ash sample collected from the dumps CHP Skawina. Examined their chemical and mineralogical composition. The research methods were used: ASS, XRD, SEM/EDS and spectrophotometry UV/VIS. The fly ash was also subjected to the hydrothermal transformation in an alkaline medium to form the zeolite crystallites. The resulting products were tested for transformation of the phase composition. Addition the study of sorption in the role of adsorbates used : Mn 2+ anions and methylene blue cations. On the basis of the results was performed assessment of the dust examined in terms of their use.
