    The purpose of presented M.A thesis was to create an application generating viewshed from chosen viewpoint on given digital elevation model. Whole application was written in Java programming language. The accuracy of results was proven by comparison with photographs from assumed points on digital map of Kraków and surroundings. Viewshed map was created in order to present the results.
