Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Features of process of purification of a water surface from oil and oil products by foamed polymeric sorbents on the basis of polymeric mixture(2011) Gahramanly, Junis N.Influence of a ratio of initial polymeric components, a macrostructure and volume weight of foamed polymeric sorbent on kinetic laws of sorption of oil and mineral oil from the contaminated water surface is considered. The foamed polymeric sorbent is a mix of polystyrene and polyethylene with spatial structure. Presence of oil-wetting agent in sorbent composition considerably increases selectivity of sorption process on oil and oil products. Influence of volume weight and temperature of medium on sorption process behavior is determined. It is shown, that process of sorption progresses on sorbents with a ratio of polymeric components in a mix within 40/60-60/40 most effectively. In this case useful properties of both components of a mix promote increase of sorption capacity of foamed polymeric sorbents on oil. Criteria of selection of sorbents at carrying out of purification of a water surface from oil and oil products are defined taking into account scale of oil outflow.
