Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Zmienność wymywalności anionów z powierzchniowej warstwy odpadów Krakowskich Zakładów Sodowych(Data obrony: 2011-12-20) Zawadzki, Łukasz
Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe aim of this thesis is to investigate leaching of anions from soda wastes from Krakow Soda Work landfill. The samples were collected at the eight points of the landfill surface layer (up to 1m). The loss by roasting were marked and water extracts 1:10 from the samples of waste were also prepared. In the resulting extracts measured pH, electrical conductivity and concentration of F-, Cl-, NO3 -, PO4 3-, SO4 2-, using ion chromatography. The studies indicated that wastes contain from 24 to 94 % calcium carbonate and their reaction is strongly alkaline (pH~12). The amount of eluted anions is small and it increase according to depth. The maximum value of the leaching (up to 1m) for SO4 2- is about 1250 mg/kg d.s. and for Cl- is about 74 mg/kg d.s.. Additional studies were carried out also on samples of waste with greater depth. The results of these studies showed that values of the leaching (at a depth of 5 m) for SO4 2- and Cl- are respectively 520 mg/kg d.s. and 1910 mg/kg d.s..
