Model prędkościowy fal P i S oraz gęstości objętościowych dla wybranych otworów w rejonie Karpat Zachodnich

Elastic parameters including P-wave and S-wave velocities, their ratios, and bulk density for different lithostratigraphic levels were calculated for selected boreholes from the Western Carpathians. The calculations were made with the use of the <i>Estymacja</i> computer program written by M. Bała and A. Cichy within the research project No. 8 T12B 046 20. The theoretical Biot--Gasstnann's model was used, which enabled the above mentioned parameters to be determined based on known mineral composition, porosity, and water- and hydrocarbon saturation of rocks, which can be obtained from well log quantitative interpretation. Mean values of the parameters were put together for selected stratigraphic units and used for the evaluation of velocity model and bulk density model.

Ocena typu zailenia w skałach piaskowcowo-ilastych na podstawie danych geofizyki otworowej - metoda wykresów krzyżowych

The analysis of effects of shale distribution and clay volume in reservoir formations on well logging curves is presented in this paper. A conception given originally by Thomas & Stieber (1975) was applied into modelling the response of well logging tools for an assumed shaly-sand model. Results of calculations were compared with logs registered in the J4 well which drilled the autochthonous Miocene deposits. Different crossplots obtained based on Gamma Ray and Neutron and Density or Acoustic logs prove that there is a possibility to determine porosity, shale distribution and sand volume (net to gross) in the reservoir horizons.

Ocena wpływu własności mediów nasycających przestrzenie porowe na parametry sprężyste i oporności skał zbiornikowych rejestrowanych sondami geofizyki otworowej

Thesis concerns assessment of the impact of deposits media that saturate pore spaces on the elastic parameters and resistivity of reservoir rocks. Media that were tested are: gas, oil and water. Batzl & Wang formulas [1992] and formula of Bigelow [1992] were used to make graphs showing changes of parameters. Preceding the calculation, geological structure of the research area is presented. It provides information about gas field Lubliniec – Cieszanów. In the following part, thesis contents information about selected types of tools used to resistivities measurements of rocks along with acoustic logs. The last chapter of thesis is aimed at use of logging results from the Lubliniec – 10 hole, saved as a ‘.las’ file. Data from well logging measurements were used to make velocity models according to formulas of Wyllie [1956] and Raymer – Hunt – Gardner [1980].
