Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThin bedded hydrocarbon reservoirs are encountered commonly worldwide in various sedimentary conditions. Improved well logging techniques of the measurement and the developed methods of interpretation make this kind of formations better investigated and commercially viable. This kind of reservoirs is present in Poland in Carpathian Foredeep, where thin shale sand layers of Miocene age are sedimented. For this specific formation, the SATUN software was created and is continuously developed. In this thesis the methodology applied in SATUN software is analysed and practical application for three gas fields is discussed.
