Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analiza stateczności skarp z gruntu zbrojonego(2008) Cała, Marek; Kowalski, MichałThis paper deals with the reinforced slope stability analysis. It was assumed that soil profile of a slope consists of two layers. The strong soil (soft rock) is covered by weak soil (or weathered rock). Such slope geology determines the way of soil reinforcement. Usually nails or anchors are applied for to provide the overall stability of the slope. However the face reinforcement of soft soil must also be used. Generally, slope stability analysis for such case, is limited to nails or anchors interacting with the soil. The face reinforcement is usually not taken under consideration. The way of reinforcing the slope with pre-tensioned nails connected to wire mesh facing is described and applied. The nails are modeled by rockbolt elements, which can rupture. The wire mesh is modeled as beam element with resistance only in tension and connected to the soil by »unglued« interface. Factor of safety (FS) of a slope is calculated with shear strength reduction technique. Nails pre-tension were obtained by user-written FISH function. A series of FS calculations were performed to show, the wire mesh facing is not only local stability protection, but can significantly increase the overall slope stability.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badania własności fizycznych kompozytów na osnowie aluminium wzmacnianych włóknem szklanym.(Data obrony: 2019-07-09) Żebrowska, Iga

Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaMetody wzmacniania podłoża obiektów inżynierskich można podzielić na dwie kategorie: wzmacnianie gruntu rodzimego i metody wykorzystujące dodatkowe materiały. Grunt rodzimy może być wzmacniany poprzez zagęszczanie statyczne, dynamiczne, lub prekonsolidację. Do metod wzmacniania z wykorzystaniem dodatkowych materiałów zaliczamy cementację i stabilizację, zbrojenie masywu gruntowego i wymianę gruntu. Ulepszenia podłoża wykonuje się w celu zmniejszenia osiadań, wodoprzepuszczalności, zredukowania szkodliwych zjawisk, a także zwiększenia nośności i odporności na obciążenia.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The reinforcement of tunnel lining of former service tunnel due to the load caused by a new underground structure(2007) Krásný, Otakar; Horák, VladislavClose to an eastern part of a historical centre of the city Brno, between the streets Benesova and Koliste, there is planned a project of huge multi-functional building called CD-Palace, which should be built up in area of already canceled depo of the Main Railway Station Brno. Under the south-eastern corner of a planned building is situated former deep layed service tunnel Malinovskeho namesti. The underground foundation structures are ended only 4,75 m upon the top of the tunnel. Due to the increment of load of 200 kPa which will be caused by foundations there was set question whether the construction of tunnel is capable to carry such a load. The method chosen to calculate this problem was mathematical modelling with finite element method.
