    If we want to use a water diaphragm cooler of air in a dead-end heading, cold water must be brought into it through a pipeline. Heat capacity of such a cooler depends on the temperature of water supplied to it. Locating 7 a water pipeline in a heading, in which warm air flows, leads to an increase in the temperature of water in pipe and is higher at the inlet of a cooler than at the inlet of pipeline. This article presents equations of air enthalpy balance in the dead end heading (without water vapor condensation on the external surface of the pipe) and cold water flowing through an insulated pipeline to the cooler of air as well as equations describing heat flow through the side wall of a pipeline from air to water. A set of equations of air and water enthalpy was solved analytically, giving distributions of air and water temperatures along the heading and, later on, using the dependences describing heat transmission through the wall of a pipe. Both distributions of temperatures of internal and external sides of pipe in the heading and the distribution of elementary heat flow exchanged between air and water are given. A calculation example, whose solution – distributions of the values mentioned above along the heading are shown in the form of graphs, was presented. An increase in temperature of cold water in a pipeline was also presented.

    Wykorzystanie czynników chłodniczych R507 i R404A w górniczej chłodziarce powietrza

    In this work is raised a problem of the air refrigeration with a help of the mining cold-air refrigerator wit a direct action, where is used two pre-ecological refrigerants - R404A and R 507. The compression refrigerator TS-300 was examined on the test stand at 90 variants its work (on 45 for each refrigerants). Those variants were differed in properties (a temperature, a humidity, a flow rate of air refrigeration). The results of the thermodynamic variable measurements after pre-cooling were compared with the results of numerical calculations, which were made by using the mathematical model. The effects of measurements and calculations, which were closed to the mining conditions, were shown in the charts

    Zastosowanie równania bilansu do wybranych zjawisk fizycznych zachodzących w wyrobiskach górniczych

    In this article the general balance equation has been shown for analysing physical items. After having these physical items interpreted, it is possible to receive equation for such processes like: heat conduction, filtration or gas diffusion. Those processes take place in issues of mining ventilation, in that case there has been placed some examples of other calculations of processes which can appear in case of heading in a mine.

    Chłodzenie powietrza małogabarytowymi wodnymi chłodnicami ścianowymi

    The results of measurements of cooling water temperature and temperature and humidity of cooled air, which were taken in longwall no. 3 of seam no. 502 at part J in »Śląsk« Colliery during the operation of a unit consisting of 4 small-sized diaphragm water air coolers (these are the first units of this kind in Poland) are presented in this paper. Themeasurement results of heat power for each air-cooler, temperature and specific humidity of cooled air were compared to calculation results, which were obtained on the basis of the equations presented in the paper. The research was conducted for two variants of air-coolers’ connection to a water pipe – in series (variant A) and in series – parallel (variant B). The results of calculations and measurements are presented in the tables and the graphs. The conducted research allows to determine that total heat power of four air-coolers is within limits 120130 kW. The greater power of the system with a series-parallel coolers’ connection can be observed in the form of a slightly lower air temperature in the longwall, behind the outlet of the longwall air temperature was reduced by 2.2°C (variant A) and 2.8°C (variant B) in comparison with the situation without cooling.

    Zmiana parametrów termodynamicznych powietrza w parowniku chłodziarki górniczej z czynnikiem R407C

    The main topic in this publication is connected with work of mine compression refrigerator with the refrigerant R407C. The publication includes the results of the change of temperature and air humidity, which are proceed in the evaporator. 45 variants were tested. This variants were differed in properties (temperature, relative humidity and flow rate through the evaporator). In the work are shown the results of 24 variants, for which the properties of air inlet are the most close to reality (excavations in the underground mines). Moreover, this publication includes the results of numerical calculations of precooled air parameters and the thermal power of evaporator. In this case all results of air parameters before precooling are used as the input data. The findings are compiled in the tabular form and in the shape of diagram.

    Próba opisu zjawiska prądów wstecznych metodami CFD

    An attempt to describe the reverse flow phenomena through numerical simulation was undertaken in this paper. The flow domain creates a 150 m long declined gallery with 15 degrees angle of inclination. The airflow is descending in isotropic conditions. In 10 m long gallery's section a hihger temperature of foor and roof than on remining rock surfaces was assumed. The cosidered problem is described by a system of equations of continuity, Navier-Stokes and energy together with k-epsylon turbulence model. The calculations were performed for different wall temperatures of heated gallery's section. The flow field patterns, characterizing the respective stages of reverse flow expasion are analyzed. CFD code validation based on the experimental data were performed. The numerical calculations by the programme FLUENT 6.1 have been supported.

    Eksperymentalne określenie wpływu doboru czynnika chłodniczego na moc cieplną chłodziarki sprężarkowej

    In this article a problem of air-cooling efficiency by using mine compression refrigerator is presented. Experimentally, a thermal power of evaporator was defined, as figure of cooling merit. Measurements were carried out on test stand for refrigerator work with three different pro-ecological refrigerants - R404A, R407C and R507. For that purpose, it was achieved the measurements of temperature and humidity of air before and after cooling, and rate of air flow through evaporator. In amount, cooling of air in 108 different variants were studied - 36 for each mentioned refrigerant. Particular variants of studies were differed in input conditions - state of cooling air and rate of air flow. Making measurements for different refrigerants were kept up equal input conditions in suited variants. Temperature of air before evaporator was kept up on three levels, its relative humidity - on three levels, too, efficiency of flow - on four levels. Results of those studies in form of thermal power of evaporator, which was enumerated on the basis of measurements, are presented in table, whereas on charts are shown separately results for each flow efficiency. Obtained results of studies allowed to estimate a quality of air cooling by refrigerator in dependence on using refrigerant.

    In this article, on the basis of statistical analysis, quality indicators of work of air refrigerator DV-290 with evaporative water cooler RK-450 were shown. The quality indicators were designated from the analysis of multiple regression. That calculations based on equations which describe the actual processes taking place in direct action refrigerators cooperating with evaporative water coolers by using multiple regression analysis. Received multiple regression functions, which describe the evaporator thermal power for the two variants with different number of independent variables, are right in the performance of air coolers. Comparison of the proposed statistical models can identify the most practical for using by the mining service. It will allow to choose the liquidation of any discrepancies, which decide about reducing the effectiveness of air cooling.
