Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Interdyscyplinarna współpraca w zakresie edukacji na rzecz ochrony krajobrazu kulturowego na przykładzie Parku Narodowego Cinque Terre (Włochy)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Dobrowolski, Jan Wincenty; Jachimski, Józef; Hejmanowska, Beata ; Wagner, Aleksandra ; Boroń, Adam ; Drzewiecki, Wojciech ; Mikrut, Sławomir; Śliwka, Małgorzata; Mazur, Robert ; Jakubiak, Mateusz ; Patuła, BarbaraOur Faculty, as the only in Poland, participated in the EU project »Smart History«. A new concept of education, integrating the residents of the regions of particular natural and cultural values and tourists - for sustainable development. A group of staff, doctoral students and under-graduate students of the Faculty participated in the interdisciplinary Workshop in the Cinque Terre National Park (Italy). The participants represented 11 countries. The Region of the Park was a model area for the consultation of experts and local decision makers as well as the residents in the cultivation of traditional forms of life, necessary to protect a unique cultural landscape. The activities were directed towards the diminishing of the concentration of tourism at the coastal area by encouraging tourists to visit mountain areas. A particular subject of our interest was related to GIS in the context of the needs of the national park, mainly the development of tourism and nature conservation. Remote sensing and photogrammetry techniques as well as GIS have been developed in the Department of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Informatics. They can be successfully implemented for the needs of the Park. A map of vegetation/land use was made based on satellite data. This can make a starting point for the monitoring in the aspect of land use changes. Some examples of photogrammetric documentation of historical monuments in the Park were also made, including spherical panoramic images. From the tourist point of view it is important to publish the information, including GIS data in the Internet, which is also a subject of the studies of the Department. A website was made, focussed on the promotion of tourist paths in mountainous areas of the Park, presenting GIS data and interactive panoramic images. Many of the proposed solutions can be applied in other protected areas. The methodological experience in the implementation of sustainable development in national parks of other countries was used, including interdisciplinary science-educational work carried out in Poland since 1968.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Struktura bazy danych Wielojęzycznego, Interdyscyplinarnego Terminologicznego Słownika i Leksykonu Geoinformatycznego Komisji Geoinformatyki PAU(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Jachimski, Józef; Mikrut, Sławomir; Majewski, MichałCommission for Geoinformatics of the Polish Academy of Science and Arts (KG PAU) in Kraków, has been formed in 1998. That commission gathers scientists of many disciplines, such as geology, geophysics, environmental engineering and protection, mining, surveying and geodesy, geography, cartography, GIS, and, of course, photogrammetry and remote sensing and computer sciences (informatics). AU that specialists, devoting their special interest to geoinformatics, found out, just at the very beginning of their cooperation, that they do not speak the same technical and scientific language concerning geoinformatics. Finally that was decided to work out a dictionary, which could help people of geoinformatics from various disciplines to use the identical vocabulary. The work is split to thematic teams, which, working independently, but in a contact with each other, build a final product: The Multilingual, Interdisciplinary Terminological Dictionary for Geoinformatics, a very important project of the KG PAU. The Dictionary will be build up in the open formulae, using internet. AU the work stages will be public, available on the www pages. To the editorial process will be admitted also volunteers, who, under care and in cooperation with the responsible editors will help to build the dictionary data base. The internet program for editing the Dictionary, in an experimental version, is available for use. We hope to have our dictionary data base soon filled with new entries, definitions, and longer descriptions of many terms used in geoinformatics.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Metodyka korzystania z baz danych Wielojęzycznego Interdyscyplinarnego Terminologicznego Słownika i Leksykonu Geoinformatycznego Komisji Geoinformatyki PAU za pośrednictwem internetu(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Jachimski, Józef; Mikrut, Sławomir; Twardowski, MariuszThe fast development of computer science oriented on capturing, processing and distribution of geoinformation (geoinformatics), which has applications in many technical and natural disciplines of science and technique, calls for urgent unification of professional terminology - for terminological dictionary. The presented open formulae computer program for creation of dictionary assumes the use of internet to continuously present the content of the dictionary database. That way the dictionary is available for users, even during the editorial activity, when it is not completed yet. The open formulae assumes also participation of volunteers in the editorial work via discussion over the existing entries and definitions, as well as via proposing their contributions to the dictionary contents. The project was initialized and is organized by the Geoinformatics Commission of The Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences in Krakow. The dictionary program was prepared by, and dictionary data base is installed on the server of the Department of Photogrammetry and remote sensing informatics. The experimental of pertaining computer program is ready for use in the internet.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Rozwój Geoinformatycznego Słownika PAU(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Jachimski, Józef; Mikrut, Sławomir; Majewski, MichałThe paper summarizes five years of activities concerning the construction of Multilangual Interdisciplinary Terminological Dictionary and Lexicon for Geoinformatics of Polish Academy of Science and Arts. In the frames of this activities some 500 entries concerning photogrammetry and remote sensing, spatial information systems, and cartography, were produced. The dictionary editorial software got also some new functions. Beside the earlier existing functions, the new ones, such as function for the mass editorial data import, are described. Actually, the Dictionary provides very easy way of editing of new terms, and also very user friendly way of searching for a needed term. All works concerning the dictionary were initiated and are executed under auspices of the Geoinformatics Commission of The Polish Academy of Arts and Sciences. That activities cover the inventory of the terminology concerning geoinformatics, and are executed with participation of many scientific centers in Poland, with the leading activity of specialists of the AGH Department of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Informatics. Such wide participation of various specialists allows not only for deep trace of the word formation trends, which exist separately in various disciplines of science and technology, which use geoinformatics, but also some terminological unification can be expected with the passing time of the editorial cooperation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Automatyzacja fotogrametrycznych pomiarów odkształceń dachowych dźwigarów hal przemysłowych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Bernasik, Jerzy; Mikrut, SławomirThe determination of the roof crones deflection is the generally measurements in the industrial halls. The measurements is inhibited by particular condition of the operation in high industrial halls: movements and vibration (if the production is not stopped), the movements of the different conveyance and dust. If the production is stopped still remain the problems with high, danger (high voltage), weak lights, inhibit access and time restriction. Due to problems of leveling measurement the deflection of cranes in high halls, the one-images photogrammetric method is very often the best. It was use in analogue version. The digital photogrammetry shows the new possibility. In this paper three methods are presented: analogue, digital-analogue (the scanned images measurements on the photogrammetric station), and automatic image processing. The description of used technologies made rich about conclusion and recommendation for the next performers. The results of the experimental measurements and their accuracy are presented. Presented results allows to treat these described photogrammetric method as fully useful and value in accuracy. The advantages of the digital technology particular allows to recommend its for universal use.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wykonywanie naziemnych zdjęć cyfrowych o ściśle określonej orientacji(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Bernasik, Jerzy; Mikrut, SławomirTaking surface images of precisely known (at the level of a theodolithe accuracy) elements of external orientation makes a rarely taken chance in terrestrial photogrammetry. Usually control points are used to increase the accuracy of the processing images when the orientation is not enough precisely known. It is particularly difficult - apparently - in case of photographs taken with non-metric cameras. The solution solved by the authors in the measurements of shape anomalies of slender buildings was based on a prototype instrument allowing the installation of a KODAK DCS 760 camera on a Theo 010 theodolithe. In the paper the authors present the results of studies enabling them to assess the accuracy of the orientation level of pictures. The described solution makes a new chance for the digital photogrammetry of a close-to-zero distance by widening the range of economically justified applications of this method in engineering and construction. The application of author's algorithms of the detection of features in a digital image allowed the analysis and measurement with a sub-pixel accuracy. This enables an accurate definition of the terrain co-ordinates of the measured points (elements).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Wyszukiwanie punktów charakterystycznych na potrzeby łączenia zdjęć lotniczych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Pawlik, Piotr; Mikrut, SławomirThis paper presents an attempt of application of SIFT (Scale Invariant Feature Transform) method for matching aerial pictures. SIFT method allows to find the pairs of corresponding points (keypoints) on followed pictures. A statistic method of erroneous pairs detection is proposed and an analysis of accuracy of keypoints coordinates based on correlation is presented.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analiza możliwości wykorzystania funkcji biblioteki »OpenCV 1.0« do automatycznego dopasowania zdjęć lotniczych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Gryboś, Paweł; Mikrut, SławomirIn this paper the way of using functions from open source library to image processing in matching algorithm is presented. The correlation algorithm which use library functions useful to image matching is describe, take into problems and advantages came from air images. During the experiments optimal size of template and value of correlation coefficient decided if matching is correct were established. The research was done on real images and different texture. The method of the generated before grid was tested too. Matching points covered the area of stereograms and are located evenly on the stereograms, which is necessary in relative orientation process.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Porównanie dokładności metod wyznaczania punktów charakterystycznych na parach zdjęć lotniczych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2007) Pawlik, Piotr; Mikrut, SławomirTo solve the problem with two corresponding points on digital air images some different algorithms were developed. In this paper the authors tried to compare some methods. The methods such as: SIFT, Harris, Hesjan were tested and implemented. The experiments were based on real air images (air photography), which have been taken in two different scales. To estimation the accuracy, the parameters such as : mean parallax on the model, number of matching points and their position, were used. The results show the similarity between the methods, but depending on kind of photography (the texture of the image).
