In the paper, the system based on the concept of holons, which solves transportation problems has been presented. The proposed system has enabled to compare the quality of solutions offered by classic algorithms for widely known and applied test problems. These problems have been modified to take into consideration potential crisis situations as well as possibilities given by the use of holonic approach.

In the paper, an overview of the research domain as well as tools related to development of SOA systems based on automatic composition of Web Services is presented. A proposition of knowledge management methodology for the purpose of reasoning with the use of an upper-ontology

This article describes a proposition of knowledge organization for the purpose of reasoning using an upper-ontology. It presents a model of integrated ontologies architecture which consists of a domain ontologies layer with instances, a shared upper-ontology layer with additional rules and a layer of ontologies mapping concrete domain ontologies with the upper-ontology. Thanks to the upper-ontology, new facts were concluded from domain ontologies during the reasoning process. A practical realization proposition is given as well. It is based on some popular Semantic Web technologies and tools, such as OWL, SWRL, nRQL, Protege and Racer.

Modelowanie anomalii i kryzysów w systemach zdecentralizowanych

In this paper examples of the application of a multi-agent approach are given for modelling and the optimising of handling anomalies and crisis situations within the scope of supply chains and city traffic. The system for modelling supply chains takes into consideration auctions led among contractors and prestige parameter which describes the relationships among the pairs of companies. The system for modelling city traffic is based on the concept of cellular automaton and an algorithm of rotating discs responsible for the traffic lights configuration.

Probabilistic anomaly detection based on system calls analysis

We present an application of probabilistic approach to the anomaly detection (PAD). By analyzing selected system calls (and their arguments), the chosen applications are monitored in the Linux environment. This allows us to estimate »(ab)normality« of their behavior (by comparison to previously collected profiles). We've attached results of threat detection in a typical computer environment.

Identyfikacja wzorców w ruchu drogowym metodą częstych sekwencji

The paper concerns the analysis of data about road traffic. We are focusing our analysis on the frequent sequences. The analysed data was obtained using multi-agent simulator for modelling and optimisation of road traffic.

W pracy przedstawiona jest koncepcja wieloagentowego system opartego na architekturze SOA, który został zastosowany do zarządzania procesem złożonej akcji ratowniczej, w trakcie której wykorzystywane są zasoby oferowane przez służby publiczne różnych typów. Do celu przeprowadzenia efektywnego procesu decyzyjnego dotyczącego przydziału zasobów związanych ze świadczoną usługą zostały wykorzystane różne rodzaje aukcji.

Koncepcja holonicznego systemu do zarządzania łańcuchami dostaw

In the paper, the concept of a holonic multi-agent system for modelling and optimising market strategies for a company and management of supply chains is presented. The measures which describe the situation of the company in the market, used for the choice of activity strategies, and especially decisions of assigning long-term contracts and holon formation consisting of cooperated companies are discussed.
