Thesis describes studies of correlation between magnetism and morphology in the following ultrathin films systems: $Fe/W, Ag/Fe/W$ and $Au/Co/Au/W$. Author used in his work two types of W substrates, with surface orientations: (110) and (540). W(110) is nominally a surface smooth in atomic scale, while W(540) is a so-called vicinal surface, characterized by the presence of densely packed, periodic structure of atomic steps. On these substrates, using MBE technique Author was depositing magnetic layers. To characterize their structure and morphology the following methods were used: Low Energy Electron Diffraction (LEED), Auger Electron Spectroscopy (AES) and Scanning Tunneling Microscopy (STM). Magnetic properties of studied samples were investigated using Magneto-Optic Kerr Effect (MOKE) and Nuclear Resonance Scattering (NRS) of synchrotron radiation. As a result Author was able to find the influence of atomic steps on magnetism of studied systems.
