Mineralogical characteristic of $Ti$, $Zr$ deposit in Tarasivka, Ukraine

Abstract

Thesis applies Tarasivka deposit, which is prospected deposit of zircon and titanium. Geologically is located in Ukrainian Crystalline Massif in the southern-eastern part of Ros-Tykysh geoblock. Tarasivka deposit is placer type created during the accumulation of debris originated mainly from Paleoproterozoic graintoids in the shore and shallow sea. Thesis methodology consists in researches of collect schlich samples for identification by microscopic in transmitted and reflected light and by microprobe with cathodoluminescence detector and backscattered electron images. As a result of this researches have been recognized minerals as: rutile, anatase, ilmenite, lecoxene, monazite, zircons, feldspar, quartz and staurolite.
