Potencjał geoturystyczny okolic Buzau w Rumunii

Abstract

The Region of Buzau is located in the outer part of the Eastern Carpathians and includes many geological, cultural and archeological values. The mud volcanoes, the everlasting fires „Focul Viu”, the salt mountains on the Meledic Plateau or exposing volcanic ash are only a few sites desribed in this thesis. From a research, based on the description and geotourism valuation, on the selected geological objects it was concluded that Buzau Land Geopark has an outstanding education value. However to join the European Geopark Network and UNESCO Global Geoparks it is necessary to the improvement of the tourism and road accessibility. Położony w Zewnętrznych Karpatach Wschodnich region Buzau wyróżnia się występowaniem zróżnicowanych walorów geologicznych, kulturowych i archeologicznych. Błotne wulkany, wieczny ogień „Focul Viu”, solne góry na płaskowyżu Meledic czy skały zbudowane z popiołu wulkanicznego to tylko niektóre obiekty opisane w pracy. Zbadanie wybranych obiektów geologicznych poprzez ich opis i waloryzację wykazało wyróżniającą wartość edukacyjną geoparku Buzau. W celu nadania rozpatrywanemu geoparkowi statusu Geoparku UNESCO konieczna jest poprawa infrastruktury turystycznej i dostępności komunikacyjnej.
