Description

Abstract

Praca zawiera badania dotyczące wykorzystania haloizytu kalcynowanego oraz aktywowanego kwasowo jako sorbentu związków organicznych i nieorganicznych. Do wykonania eksperymentów zastosowano krajowy haloizyt z kopalni Dunino.

The works includes studies on the use of calcined and acid-activated halloysite as sorbent of organic and inorganic compounds. For the experiments a Polish halloysite from mine Dunino was used. This mineral morphology is made of plates with a flat or partially folded surface or in the form of tubes. It is characterized by a high surface area, porosity, ability to adsorb liquids and gases, and high sorption of heavy metals. In the experiment as absorbents organic dyes were used: methylene blue and rhodamine B, inorganic cations: Cu(II). Ni(II), Cr(II) and anions: Cr(VI) and P(V). The effectiveness of the sorption of organic compounds were analyzed by spectrophotometric methods, cations by ASA analysis (Atomic Absorption Spectrometry), and anions were determined colorimetrically. The obtained sorbent is a natural mineral product, inert for the environment and not containing any harmful additives and it shows very good sorption properties.
