Abstract
In the western part of Slovak Ore Mountains in Veporic Unit several occurrences of sulphide minerals are known. $Cu-Co$ mineralization in Mútnik magnesite deposit consists of different mineral associations but only epigenetic sulphide mineralization has polymetallic character. Microscopic and chemical analysis were carried out. Three main stages of ore formation were distinguished. The oldest generation of cataclased pyrite and cobaltite hosts younger chalcopyrite and gold mineralization. Few generations of pyrite, gold and sphalerite were reported. Mútnik, spatially related to Sinec shear zone represents the typical $Au-Bi-Te$ mineralization with rich bismuth mineral assemblage (native bismuth, bismuthinite, tetradymite, lillianite-gustavite, pilsenite).
