Abstract
The purpose of this thesis was to characterize hydrogeological conditions of the landslide area located in the Lower Dunajec region. The occurance of the phenomenon of mass movements is conditioned by plenty of factors - atmospheric, morphological and geological. Depending on them, mass movements can develop faster or slower. There have been depth to the groundwater table within a radius of 1 km from the analyzed plot measured and additionally the mapping of the area covered by the phenomenon have been made. Based on the observations and conversations with the inhabitants of the house located near the landslide, the following factors were estimated: its founding time, time of the highest activity and the main damages occurred. It was found that the landslide formed in the 1980s/1990s developed most intensively after heavy rainfall in 2010, and at the moment it can be described as active periodically.
