Description

Abstract

W niniejszej pracy zostały przedstawione wyniki powierzchniowych badań geochemicznych przeprowadzonych na obszarze Zapadliska Przedkarpackiego w pobliżu złoża gazu ziemnego Brzezowiec. Badania polegały na pobraniu 157 próbek gazu glebowego z głębokości ok. 1.2 m wzdłuż wyznaczonych 8 profili geochemicznych (A-H) z krokiem próbkowania wynoszącym 100 m. Następnie zostały one poddane analizie chromatograficznej polegającej na oznaczeniu stężeń lekkich alkanów i alkenów. Analiza wykazała obecność anomalnych stężeń metanu i jego wyższych homologów, a także lekkich alkenów. Maksymalne wartości stężeń metanu, sumy alkanów C2-C5 i sumy alkenów C2-C4 wynosiły odpowiednio: 1433 ppm, 0,436 ppm i 0,174 ppm.

This paper presents the results of surface geochemical survey carried out in the area of the Carpathian Foredeep near the Brzezowiec gas deposit. Survey consisted of collect 157 soil gas samples from a depth of approx. 1.2 m along the designated 8 geochemical profiles (A-H) with a sampling spacing of 100 m. They were then analysed by gas chromatography involving the determination of concentrations of light alkanes and alkenes. The analysis showed the presence of anomalous concentrations of methane and its higher homologues, as well as light alkenes. Maximum concentrations of methane, total alkanes C2-C5 and total alkenes C2-C4, were 1433 ppm, 0.436 ppm and 0.174 ppm, respectively. The results of surface geochemical survey integrated with the geological and reservoir model showed a weak relationship between the extent of the Brzezowiec gas field being exploited and the distribution of anomalous hydrocarbon concentrations. However, their distribution suggests the presence of other undiscovered accumulation.
