<p>Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is a management concept that stresses the importance of the enterprises’ responsibility of for their impacts on the society and environment. Companies can of course exert both: positive and negative impact towards their surroundings, therefore CSR calls for minimizing adverse impact and maximizing mutual values for all stakeholders.</p><p>CSR has become a very popular concept these days and firms often communicate their engagement both to attract potential customers and employees and to gain competitive advantage, too. However, CSR has also its dark side – it seems to be used for greenwashing and presenting only the bright sides of the business while the substantial controversial issues remain unveiled.</p><p>The participants of the course will learn the crucial aspects of CSR, understand the difference between CSR and traditional management concepts, recognize the role of CSR and Sustainability in developing business strategy. Numerous examples will make it easy to see how CSR can be implemented. The course is designed to encourage the participants to solve different problems, offer comments and, exchange knowledge. The participants will also get inspired by real life examples as well as invited to share their own experience in the field of CSR.</p>
