Mikrodrobiny plastiku w ściekach – przegląd literatury

Abstract

Szybki rozwój przemysłu tworzyw sztucznych przyczynił się do wzrostu ilości ich odpadów. W warunkach naturalnych mogą one łatwo ulec rozdrobnieniu tworząc mikroplastik, który stanowi poważne zagrożenie środowiskowe. W niniejszej pracy dokonano charakterystyki mikrodrobin plastiku w ściekach. Na podstawie przeglądu literatury przedstawiono wiele aspektów tego zjawiska. W poszczególnych rozdziałach opisano metodykę pomiaru mikroplastiku oraz scharakteryzowano skutki jakie wywołuje w ekosystemie. Przedstawione badania dokumentują duże ilości mikrodrobin plastiku, który pomimo procesów oczyszczania ścieków, przedostaje się do środowiska, gdzie łatwo się rozprzestrzenia. Wskazują one również potencjalne drogi zbilansowania ilości mikroplastiku.

The rapid development of the plastics industry has contributed to the increase in the amount of their waste. Under natural conditions, they can easily be broken down into micro-plastics, which is a serious environmental hazard. This paper describes the characteristics of microfine plastic in wastewater. Based on a review of the literature, many aspects of this phenomenon are presented. The individual chapters describe the microplastic measurement methodology and characterize the effects it has on the ecosystem. The presented research documents large quantities of microfine plastic, which despite the processes of wastewater treatment, gets into the environment, where it is easily spread. They also indicate potential ways to balance the amount of microplastic.
