Interdyscyplinarna współpraca w zakresie edukacji na rzecz ochrony krajobrazu kulturowego na przykładzie Parku Narodowego Cinque Terre (Włochy)

Abstract

Our Faculty, as the only in Poland, participated in the EU project »Smart History«. A new concept of education, integrating the residents of the regions of particular natural and cultural values and tourists - for sustainable development. A group of staff, doctoral students and under-graduate students of the Faculty participated in the interdisciplinary Workshop in the Cinque Terre National Park (Italy). The participants represented 11 countries. The Region of the Park was a model area for the consultation of experts and local decision makers as well as the residents in the cultivation of traditional forms of life, necessary to protect a unique cultural landscape. The activities were directed towards the diminishing of the concentration of tourism at the coastal area by encouraging tourists to visit mountain areas. A particular subject of our interest was related to GIS in the context of the needs of the national park, mainly the development of tourism and nature conservation. Remote sensing and photogrammetry techniques as well as GIS have been developed in the Department of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing Informatics. They can be successfully implemented for the needs of the Park. A map of vegetation/land use was made based on satellite data. This can make a starting point for the monitoring in the aspect of land use changes. Some examples of photogrammetric documentation of historical monuments in the Park were also made, including spherical panoramic images. From the tourist point of view it is important to publish the information, including GIS data in the Internet, which is also a subject of the studies of the Department. A website was made, focussed on the promotion of tourist paths in mountainous areas of the Park, presenting GIS data and interactive panoramic images. Many of the proposed solutions can be applied in other protected areas. The methodological experience in the implementation of sustainable development in national parks of other countries was used, including interdisciplinary science-educational work carried out in Poland since 1968.

Wydział nasz, jako jedyny w Polsce, uczestniczył w projekcie UE Smart History. W ramach tego projektu opracowano nową koncepcję edukacji, integrującą mieszkańców regionów o szczególnych walorach przyrodniczych i kulturowych oraz turystów - na rzecz zrównoważonego rozwoju. Grupa pracowników, doktorantów i studentów Wydziału wzięła udział w interdyscyplinarnych Warsztatach w Parku Narodowym Cinque Terre (Włochy). Uczestnikami byli przedstawiciele 11 krajów. Region Parku stanowił teren poligonalny dla konsultacji ekspertów i lokalnych decydentów oraz mieszkańców, w zakresie kultywacji tradycyjnych form gospodarki, niezbędnych dla ochrony unikatowego krajobrazu kulturowego. Prace zmierzały do zmniejszenia koncentracji ruchu turystycznego w pasie wybrzeża poprzez zachęcenie turystów do odwiedzania rejonów górskich. Szczególnym przedmiotem naszych zainteresowań były zagadnienia związane z systemami GIS dotyczącymi Parku. Sporządzono mapę pokrycia/użytkowania terenu w oparciu o dane satelitarne. Stanowić ona może punkt wyjścia do działań monitoringowych w aspekcie zmian użytkowania. Wykonano również przykładowe inwentaryzacje fotogrametryczne zabytkowych obiektów architektonicznych na terenie Parku oraz interaktywne panoramy sferyczne. Ważne z turystycznego punktu widzenia jest publikowanie informacji, w tym danych GIS, w Internecie, co również jest przedmiotem badań ZFilT. Wykonano stronę WWW lansującą szlaki turystyczne górskich rejonów Parku, udostępniając dane GIS wraz z interaktywnymi obrazami panoramicznymi. Wiele zaproponowanych rozwiązań można wykorzystać w innych obszarach chronionych. Wykorzystano doświadczenia metodyczne dotyczące wdrażania zrównoważonego rozwoju w parkach narodowych innych krajów, w tym interdyscyplinarne prace naukowo-dydaktyczne prowadzone w Polsce od 1968 r.
