Geochemiczna ocena dolno paleozoicznych kompleksów iłowcowo-mułowcowych w basenie lubelsko-podlaskim pod kątem występowania w nich gazu ziemnego

Abstract

One of the prospective areas for the occurrence of gas shales is Baltic-Lublin-Podlasie basin, where the study for determining the hydrocarbon potential of the area is carried on. So far, the analysis allowed to determine the Lower Paleozoic complex as the most interesting in this regard. This paper is to assess the presence of gas in the mudstone-claystone complexes of Cambrian, Ordovician and Silurian in the Lublin-Podlasie basin on the basis of geochemical analyses. Results obtained from pyrolysis Rock Eval, analysis of biomarkers and vitrinite reflectance measurements enabled the evaluation of potential hydrocarbon formation and to determine the type of organic matter and characterize the degree of maturity of deposits for the generation of gaseous hydrocarbons. To assess the prospectivity of the area the vertical and collateral variation of geochemical parameters was rated. The results of the analysis were associated with the geology of the area and the conditions of sedimentation of mudstones and claystones.

Dotychczas przeprowadzone analizy pozwoliły na wytypowanie kompleksu dolno paleozoicznego jako najbardziej interesującego pod tym względem. Praca miała na celu określenie potencjału występowania gazu ziemnego w kompleksach mułowcowo-iłowcowych kambru, ordowiku oraz syluru w basenie lubelsko-podlaskim na podstawie badań geochemicznych. Na podstawie analizy pirolitycznej Rock-Eval, analizy biomarkerów i stopnia dojrzałości termicznej, określonego zdolnością odbicia światła od macerału witrynitu dokonano oceny potencjału węglowodorowego formacji łupkowych dolnego paleozoiku, określono typ materii organicznej i scharakteryzowano stopień dojrzałości osadów do generowania węglowodorów gazowych. Dla oceny perspektywiczności obszaru oceniono zmienność pionową i oboczną parametrów geochemicznych, a wyniki powiązano z geologią obszaru oraz warunkami sedymentacji utworów iłowcowo-mułowcowych występowania w nich gazu ziemnego.
