Jakość wód podziemnych na terenie byłych Zakładów Metalowych Mesko S.A.

Abstract

The purpose of the thesis was to determine the quality of ground waters present in the area of former Zakłady Metalowe “Mesko” S.A. on the basis of available laboratory tests. The condition of the water is presented in a form of charts, made for the most significant components during the period of the last 50 years. The thesis also shows possible threats to the quality of the ground waters created by the buildings situated within the range of the researched area. The thesis also describes the hazard resulting from confirmed presence of trichloroethylene and tetrachloroethylene in the wells of municipal water intake “Bzin” and the ways of dealing with this hazard. The author calculated migration of this kind of contamination in the saturation area, from the possible source of contamination, which is not clearly specified establishment of Zakłady “Mesko”, to the well of municipal water intake. At the end of the thesis the author assesses the quality of water present in the water mains.

Celem pracy było określenie jakości wody podziemnej w rejonie byłych Zakładów Metalowych „Mesko” S.A. na podstawie dostępnych badań laboratoryjnych. Oceniono zmienność stężeń wybranych składników na przestrzeni ostatnich 50 lat. W pracy tej przedstawiono także możliwe zagrożenia dla jakości wód podziemnych od strony obiektów znajdujących się w obrębie badanego obszaru. Opisano również zagrożenie wynikające ze stwierdzonej obecności sumy trichloroetenu i tetrachloroetenu w studniach ujęcia komunalnego „Bzin”, oraz sposoby walki z tym zagrożeniem . Na koniec dokonano oceny jakości wody eksploatowanej w sieci wodociągowej.
