Eksploatacja wód podziemnych do celów komunalnych na terenie Radomia

Abstract

Eksploatacja wód podziemnych jest istotnym elementem wpływającym na środowisko naturalne. Głównym odbiorcą ujmowanych wód podziemnych jest człowiek, ze względu na fakt, że woda jest warunkiem ludzkiej egzystencji. Zrównoważone korzystanie z zasobów wód podziemnych nie jest szkodliwe w aspekcie środowiskowym. Problem pojawia się w większych skupiskach ludności, czyli w miastach. Celem pracy jest opisanie procesu ujmowania wód podziemnych w dużym mieście w Polsce. Jako przykład posłużyło miasto Radom, położone w centralnej części kraju. Na podstawie uzyskanych informacji z miejskiej spółki Wodociągi Miejskie w Radomiu przedstawiono wszelkie uwarunkowania wpływające na pobór wód podziemnych oraz ich stan jakościowy. W pracy przedstawiono zagrożenia związane z intensywną eksploatacją oraz schemat technologiczny poboru wód podziemnych w Radomiu. Opisana została także infrastruktura wodociągowa miasta oraz pokrótce przedstawiona historia Radomskich Wodociągów.

Groundwater Explotation is an important element influencing the natural environment. The main recipient of abstracted groundwater is population, due to the fact that water is a condition of human existence. The sustainable use of groundwater resources is not harmful from an environmental point of view. The problem may occurs in larger population centers, in example in cities. The purpose of this dissertation is to describe the process of groundwater intake in a large city in Poland. The city of Radom, located in the central part of the country, was used as an example. All conditions influencing groundwater intake and their quality are presented on the basis of the information obtained from the Municipal Waterworks Company in Radom. The article presents the risks associated with intensive exploitation and the technological scheme of groundwater intake in Radom. It also describes the city’s water supply infrastructure and briefly describes the history of Radom Waterworks.
