Wybrane badania georadarowe na terenie byłego obozu koncentracyjnego Auschwitz

Abstract

The master thesis is about georadar investigations in The Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birekanau in Brzezinka. It is concentrated on the physical theory of the GPR method, especially on Maxwell’s equations. In the Chapter 2 there is a derivation of the wave equation for a electromagnetical field and the wave velocity is estimated. The undertaken invastigations had shown places, where the GPR anomaly occurred. The invastigations did not determine the origin of the anomaly.

Praca dotyczy badań georadarowych na terenie Miejsca pamięci i Muzeum Auschwitz-Birkenau w Brzezince. Praca w dużej mierze poświęcona jest podstawom fizycznym metody georadarowej, w szczególności równaniom Maxwella. W obrębie rozdziału dotyczącego teorii wyprowadzony jest wzór na prędkość rozchodzenia się fali elektromagnetycznej. Przeprowadzone pomiary wskazały miejsca występowania anomalii w obszarze badania. Wyniki pomiarów nie determinują jednoznacznie przyczyn powstania anomalii.
