Geologiczno-inżynierska charakterystyka iłów warwowych

Abstract

Praca została poświęcona charakterystyce iłów warwowych, zastoiska Warszawskiego, utworzonych podczas zlodowacenia środkowopolskiego. Zainteresowanie tymi gruntami wynika z faktu, że często stanowią one podłoże obiektów budowlanych. Iły warwowe są to grunty pochodzenia polodowcowego, ich cechą charakterystyczną jest wyraźne warstwowanie w postaci układu naprzemianległych warstw jasnych i ciemnych, tzw. warw. Skład mineralny i granulometryczny wszystkich iłów warwowych jest zbliżony. Na podstawie analizy cech strukturalnych i teksturalnych wydzielono w nich trzy typy litologiczne oraz szereg podtypów. Biorąc pod uwagę rozmieszczenie miejsc występowania typów iłów warwowych wyróżniono ich facje. Ze zróżnicowania facjalnego tych gruntów wynika przede wszystkim zmienność własności fizyczno-mechanicznych pomiędzy poszczególnymi ich typami.

The engineering thesis is devoted to the characteristics of the varved clays, the Warsaw proglacial lake, created during the Central Poland glaciation. The interest in these grounds is due to the fact that their often form the foundation of building objects. Varved clays are ground of post-glacial origin, their characteristic feature is distinct stratification in the form of a system of alternating light and dark layers, so-called varve. The mineral and granulometric composition of all varved clays is similar. Based on the analysis of structural and textural features, three lithological types and a number of subtypes were separated in them. Considering the distribution of the occurrences of types of varved clays, their facies have been distinguished. Facial diversity of these grounds results mainly from the variability of physical and mechanical properties between their particular types.
