Zmienność właściwości piaskowców magurskich wzdłuż potoku Wierchomlanka - analiza dla kruszyw naturalnych łamanych i żwirowych

Abstract

Magura Sandstones from the Wierchomlanka valley have very high qualities for the production of aggregates in the Carpathian sandstone group. Therefore, these rocks are of particular interest to geologists. A research made it possible to obtain results of properties (such as an apparent density, water absorption and abrasion in the Deval’s drum) for natural aggregates taken along the stream. Subsequently they ware compared with the crush aggregates produced in the quarry “Wierchomla”, located at the mouth of the river, in order to determine the difference in the quality of these two types of aggregates.

Piaskowce magurskie z doliny potoku Wierchomlanka posiadają jedne z lepszych właściwości do produkcji kruszyw w grupie piaskowców karpackich. Dlatego skały te cieszą się szczególnym zainteresowaniem geologów. Uzyskano właściwości prób kruszywa naturalnego pobranego wzdłuż potoku, takie jak gęstość pozorną, nasiąkliwość oraz ścieralność w bębnie Devala. Otrzymane wyniki porównano następnie z kruszywem łamanym produkowanym w kamieniołomie „Wierchomla”, znajdującym się u ujścia potoku w celu ustalenia różnicy jakości tych dwóch rodzajów kruszyw.
