Analiza mineralogiczna meteorytu Czelabińsk

Abstract

Obiektem badań jest meteoryt Czelabińsk, który wchodząc w atmosferę ziemską eksplodował 15 lutego 2013 roku w obwodzie Czelabińsk (południowa Rosja). Opisywany meteoryt jest klasyfikowany jako chondryt LL5. Przeprowadzone analizy potwierdziły zarówno obecność chondr jak i minerałów typowych dla obiektów pozaziemskich: kamacytu, taenitu oraz troilitu. Wśród chondr wyróżnione zostały dwa typy: chondry piroksenowe o strukturach radialnych, oraz chondry oliwinowe o strukturach płytkowych. Potwierdza się impaktytowa przeszłość ciała macierzystego, o czym świadczą przede wszystkim liczne spękania, żyłki impaktytowe, deformacje w chondrach i ich atolowe otoczki.

The object of this research is the Chelyabinsk meteorite, that entered and exploded in the Earth’s atmosphere on 15th of February 2013 in Chelyabinsk Oblast (south Russia). This meteorite is classified as chondrite LL5 type. Mineralogical and geochemical investigations confirmed the presence of chondrules and opaque minerals that are typical for extraterrestrial matter: kamacite, taenite and troilite. There are two types of chondrules present: chondrules made of pyroxene (with radial structure) and chondrules made of olivine (with lamellar structure). The investigations confirmed the impact history of the parent body. This is evidenced by numerous cracks, veinlets and deformations of chondrules and their metamorphic rims.
