Charakterystyka złoża gipsów „Leszcze”

Abstract

Złoże mioceńskich gipsów „Leszcze” eksploatowane jest od 1983 roku. Usytuowane w dolinie rzeki Nidy, rejonie o walorach zarówno krajobrazowych jak i geologicznych. W jego skład wchodzi kilka litologicznych odmian gipsu. Wyrobisko ma charakter stokowo-wgłębny, na które składają się 2 poziomy wydobywcze. Eksploatację prowadzi się za pomocą robót strzałowych, a otrzymany urobek, po wcześniejszym rozdrobnieniu transportowany jest do pobliskich Zakładów Przemysłu Gipsowego „Dolina Nidy”. Tam jest magazynowany i poddawany procesom przeróbczym, w celu uzyskania gotowego produktu. Roczne wydobycie kopalni waha się w granicach 400 – 700 tys. ton.

The deposit of the Miocene gypsum “Leszcze” has been in exploitation since 1983. Located in the valley of the Nida River, a region with both landscape and geological values. It consists a several lithological varieties of gypsum. The excavation has a slope-depth nature, consisting two extraction levels. The exploitation is carried out by means of blasting works, and the obtained spoil, after the previous fragmentation, is transported to the nearby Gypsum Industry "Dolina Nidy". There it is stored and subjected to processing processes in order to obtain a finished product. Annual extraction of the mine ranges from 400 to 700 thousand tonnes each year.
