Automatyczna analiza zdjęć satelitarnych z wykorzystaniem procesorów kart graficznych

Abstract

The thesis presents use of graphics cards in the processing of satellite images. It shows differences between the CPU and the GPU and it presents CUDA architecture. The thesis includes theory on the Landsat program and satellite images. It discussed methods of edge detection in digital images. Then compared the rate of analysis of satellite images using the CPU and graphics card. In the tests included the image size and kind of performed analysis.

W pracy przedstawiono wykorzystanie kart graficznych w przetwarzaniu zdjęć satelitarnych. Pokazano różnice między CPU i GPU oraz zaprezentowano architekturę CUDA. Przedstawiono teorię dotyczącą programu Landsat oraz zdjęć satelitarnych. Omówiono metody wykrywania krawędzi w zdjęciach cyfrowych. Następnie porównano szybkość przeprowadzania analiz zdjęć satelitarnych z wykorzystaniem procesora i karty graficznej. W testach uwzględniono rozmiar zdjęcia oraz rodzaj wykonywanej analizy.
