Występowanie metali szlachetnych w nowych polach górniczych O/ZG Polkowice-Sieroszowice

Abstract

Z O/ZG Polkowice-Sieroszowice pobrano 5 profili ze strefy utlenionej. Przeprowadzone badania mikroskopowe w świetle odbitym nie wykazały obecności metali szlachetnych. Z kolei analizy chemiczne pozwoliły stwierdzić zawartości przekraczające 0,3 ppm Au w czterech profilach oraz powyżej 0,5 ppm Pt+Pd w dwóch z nich. Metale szlachetne występują w strefie o śladowym okruszcowaniu siarczkami miedzi i zawierających czerwone plamy. Analiza wyznaczonych map zawartości i miąższości dla Au oraz Pt+Pd pozwala przypuszczać, że strefa bogata w metale szlachetne kontynuuje się w obecnie eksploatowanych polach górniczych rejonu Polkowic Zachodnich.

Five profiles from the oxidized zone in the Polkowice-Sieroszowice Cu-Ag mine, were studied. The reflected light microscopic studies have not proved any visible gold occurrence. The chemical assay has shown the gold grade above 0,3 ppm in four profiles and 0,5 ppm Pt+Pd in two profiles. The gold-bearing horizon is characterized by the presence of red patches (hematite alteration) and trace copper contents (<0,3 %). The analysis of the thickness and grade maps for Au and Pt+Pd indicates that the precious metal rich zone continues further south in the currently mined fields of the Polkowice West area.
