Wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i GazuItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Clay modifications with biopolymer PT 300308 for HDD muds(2009) Dubiel, Stanisław; Wysocki, Sławomir; Dyndor, Daniel; Wysocka, Marta; Boniecki, ŁukaszHorizontal Directional Drilling is classified as trenchless technology. Specific character of HDD caused specific parameters of drilling mud. This drilling method is utilized on terrains with roads, highways, railway tracks, canals, rivers, and highly urbanized areas, where direct pit under the ground is impossible. Trenchless technologies such as HDD have more advantages than the traditional methods. Not only do they shorten time necessary for dig-up, but also the pipelines used during drilling can be placed in any desired position under any territorial barrier. In addition, HDD does not disturb public transportation and most importantly, does not devastate the environment, which makes it the commonly used technology in the construction industry. Specific character of HDD caused specific parameters of drilling mud. Searching innovated solutions is important to fulfill increasing technological requirements. The article presents the final results of the technological parameters HDD mud, designed on bentonit OCMA, and modified by biopolymer PT 300308. Obtained results show possibility for industrial application.Item type:Book Chapter, Access status: Open Access , Effect of the HDD drilling mud on the environment(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2023) Druzgała, Angelika; Formela, Małgorzata MariaHorizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) is a trenchless method commonly used for laying various types of pipelines and cables. It is a common way of routing a technological line from one point to another by directional drilling under obstacles or in ecologically sensitive areas. The HDD can be used, for example, under rivers, roads or slopes where conventional excavation technologies would not be cost effective, reliable or may be environmentally invasive. One of the important elements influencing the success of horizontal directional drilling is a drilling fluid appropriately selected for the drilling conditions. The mentioned drilling fluid may, however, be a threat to the environment, therefore, in order to prevent it, it must be properly stored and disposed of.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Laboratory research on modified bentonite PT-85 for HDD mud developement(2014) Wysocki, SławomirHDD (Horizontal Directional Drilling) is elassified as trenchless technology. Specific character of HDD causes specific parameters of drilling mud. Searching for innovated solutions is important to fulfill increasing technological requirements. The paper presents results of lab research on modified bentonite PT-85. Research of reological parametrs, mono- and multivalent ions contamination resistance and lubricity was conducted. Rheological models for tested mud were presented also. Results show possibility for industrial application of PT-85 bentonite.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modyfikacje bentonitu niespełniającego norm OCMA za pomocą polimeru PT-25 do płuczek typu HDD(2009) Wysocki, SławomirHDD drilling fluids have some important functions. A good drilling fluid should provide optimal cutting transport, have high lubrication in stem and drill bit lubrication as well as stabilize the borehole permanently by sealing the sides of the bore. The most widely used drilling fluids for HDD applications are based on bentonite. Our laboratory research is focused on modification of bentonite OCMA by new polymer to reach certain, required parameters such as low viscosity, high yield point and ability to create gel structure. It's also important to note that minimizing of filtration is highly desired. Based on the research, we can conclude that observed HDD fluids exhibit good technological parameters, as well as low filtration. Our laboratory research proves to be effective at bentonite OCMA modifications with use of new polymers.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Opracowanie receptur płuczek do wierceń typu HDD z zastosowaniem oligomerów kationowych(Data obrony: 2019-10-23) Gruszka, Bartosz

Wydział Wiertnictwa, Nafty i GazuItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , System płuczkowy przeznaczony do wierceń typu HDD z nowym polimerem PT-52(2010) Fabia, Bogusława; Chlebosz, Robert; Wysocki, Sławomir; Bielewicz, DanutaFrom the beginning of the 1990s there has been observed the resilient development of horizontal directional drillings. They are an alternative to traditional engineering methods. They enable creating less expensive and environmentally safe type of underground installations. The essential advantage of HDD methods is the possibility to avoid easily the obstacles both on the ground and underground. It is of special importance nowadays, when the population is growing rapidly, and the infrastructure in urban areas is in the process of constant development. One of the most important elements of HDD technology is the drilling mud. Similarly to muds used in different boreholes they should fulfill the criteria resulting from the destination of a borehole, minimalize technical difficulties, as well as the risk of investment. It is achieved by choosing liquids of high gels, high yield value, good lubricity, ones which are environmentally safe, as well as ones of a small solid-phase content. In this research, drilling mud with the addition of new polymer PT-52 modified by CO3 ions was tested. Created mud was tested against salt monovalent and bivalent contamination. The temperature resistance and lubricity were examined, too. Test results show that this mud can be used by the industry.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Zalety, wady i ograniczenia sterowanych, bezwykopowych technologii budowy nowych instalacji rurowych(Data obrony: 2019-10-16) Papisz, Kacper Marcin
