Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaSchultenite $PbHAsO_{4}$ - $PbHPO_{4}$ solid solution series at room temperature and pH 2 were synthesized. Analysis of the phases composition by XRD showed characteristic peaks shift towards into higher values of d, as a result of larger size ionic radius of As than P. Infrared spectroscopy showed extensive substitution of the $(AsO_{4}){^{3-}}$ group by $(PO_{4}){^{3-}}$. Characteristic stretching (v3) and bending (v4) vibrations of the schultenite solid solutions occur in the regions 740–1015 $cm^{-1}$ and 460–560 $cm^{-1}$. PbHPO4 was dissolved in bigger amount than $PbHAsO_{4}$. Formation of the secondary mineral phase after dissolution $PbHPO_{4}$ reaction was confirmed by microphotography SEM. Wydział Informatyki, Elektroniki i TelekomunikacjiItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Study on the activation of calcium montmorillonite (Ca-MMT) by sodium cations(2016) Kurleto-Kozioł, Żaneta; Grabowska, BeataThe results of spectral research (IR, UV-Vis) on the activation process of calcium montmorillonite Ca-MMT by sodium cations are presented in this article. The modifications of Ca-MMT were carried out by a modifier in the form of sodium carbonate by keeping different times of activations. On the basis of received sodium modifiers MMT (Na-MMT) analytical cycle of research was done, including structural (IR) and spectrophotometric (UV-Vis) research, in order for the designation of ion exchange ability (CEC). There was observed that the method of processing modification (changing activation time) does not affect on ion exchange ability Na-MMT. Application of modified MMT used as a binding material in greensand will be described in the next part of our planned research.
