Analiza istniejących prognoz rozwoju konsumpcji i podaży gazu ziemnego w Polsce w świetle dostępnych prognoz Unii Europejskiej

W artykule omówiono istniejące i dostępne publicznie prognozy dotyczące podaży i popytu gazu ziemnego w Polsce w perspektywie zatwierdzonej Polityki Energetycznej Polski 2030 (PEP 2030) oraz pojawiających się estymacji możliwego wydobycia gazu z łupków w Polsce. Autorzy w artykule podnoszą, że choć strategia dywersyfikacji dostawców jest wyraźną przesłanką do zwiększenia bezpieczeństwa energetycznego kraju, to mimo to rozbieżności w prognozowaniu przede wszystkim »energy mix«, olbrzymi wpływ na prognozy polityki klimatycznej UE oraz brak przewidywalności co do możliwych scenariuszy rozwoju wydobycia gazu z łupków są na tyle duże, że trudno mówić o przewidywalności i stabilizacji rynku gazu w Europie. Omówione zostały także scenariusze rozwoju rynku gazu uwzględniające rozwój wytwarzania energii elektrycznej z OZE, energetykę jądrową oraz perspektywę zero energetycznego rozwoju kraju (wzrost poziomu efektywności energetycznej). Wnioskiem z artykułu jest konieczność zbudowania modelu prognostycznego dla rynku gazu ziemnego w Polsce oraz zmiana prognoz w PEP 2030.

Analysis of hydrogen gas saturation in sedimentary sequences of Volyn-Podillya (Ukraine)

With the aim of using hydrogen energy by the Ukrainian industry, the paper considers the general patterns of hydrogen distribution in the sedimentary sequences of Volyn-Podillya. The general features of the distribution of water-dissolved and sorbed gases in rocks within productive and water-saturated complexes are analyzed. The genetic relationships between individual components of natural gases have been established, which allows us to identify depth intervals where hydrogen predominates in the well section. The latter, when used for regional forecasting, makes it possible to establish zones, and thus directions for the search for hydrogen accumulations in the sedimentary cover in Volyn-Podillya.

Using the results obtained by Herbich and Przytuła(2012), this thesis proposes methodology which allows to determine the spatial characteristics of available resources in the areas of future shale gas production and other cases. This methodology takes into account specific conditions of gas extraction, unavoidable climate changes and unregistered groundwater extraction . These factors have been omitted from consideration by P. Herbich. It also contains examples of the application of this methodology.

Prognoza zagrożeń dla środowiska rozbudowy drogi szybkiego ruchu Nowy Targ – Zakopane

The main purpose of this thesis was to identify the environmental risks associated with the implementation of the planned investment witch is expansion of the national road No. 47 in the section Nowy Targ - Zakopane. The project of the new road aims to improve the accessibility of the popular tourism area of Zakopane. The document presents a description of the individual components of the environment and the elements related to human activity and culture. Then the whole plan of the investment is described in details and the risks associated with its implementation and subsequent operation is indicated. The report also contains guidance on minimizing the negative impact of the project on the environment and shows the problem of social conflict.

Selected conditions of a changing role of natural gas in a longterm energy policy of Poland

According to existing forecasts there will be a gradual change in the structure of energy sources in Poland. The forthcoming changes will result from international obligations aimed at reducing the level of emissions to the atmosphere and adjusting the working of companies in the energy sector to standards imposed by EU directives. The need for restructurisation is also dictated by currently low competitiveness of the domestic energy sector and bringing it close to the world standards. As a result of such changes it will be possible to move away from energy based on coal and thus create conditions in which natural gas will play a more significant role in the domestic energy sector. The change is dependent on tools that must be created by government institutions, which will emphasise market mechanisms in shaping the structure of energy sources in Poland. It must be stressed, however, that until now the government actions in this area have restricted possibilities for change in the energy sector.
