However, studies concerning the qualification of data obtained from mobile laser scanners are not numerous. For purposes of point clouds analysis, it is possible to define several criteria which provide information about their quality. A synthetic overview of the state of knowledge regarding accuracy assessment is presented in this paper. Afterwards, a methodology adapted to mobile mapping systems evaluation is proposed. The study was aimed to validate received data in terms of accuracy, rather than assess the individual components of the system. The evaluation was conducted in two ways. In the first one, it was achieved through integration with other data sources such as high resolution point clouds from static terrestrial laser scanning as a reference. As a result, an average distanceof 0.185 m in relation to the reference cloud was obtained. On the other hand, a classical Total Station survey of points on building fasade was made. Afterwards, length of various combinations of sections were compared with corresponding sections in mobile point cloud. Finally, assumptions made for both methodologies, their limitations and the experimental results obtained are briefly discussed.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badanie dokładności pomiarów bezreflektorowych oraz wykorzystanie naziemnego skaningu laserowego do pomiaru kształtu osi obiektu wieżowego(Data obrony: 2014-09-26) Zarzycki, Mateusz; Zięcina, Joanna

The approach was shown by solving the test model -considered the representative field material. As a model there was used the monument of Queen Anna Jagiellonka, established in renaissance period in Wawel King's Catedral in Cracow, Poland. Developing of the technology required arranging two geometrical filters for point cloud preparation. Point clouds were used as geometrical information for orthorectification process. The obtained result positively verified author's hypothesis, that the integration of scanning and photogrammetric data is an alternative for classical orthophotogrammetric technology. Such a possibility is an effect of laser scanning technology potential.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Określenie charakterystyk dokładnościowych wybranych instrumentów laserowych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2005) Gawałkiewicz, RafałFor several years the market of surveying equipment has been dominated by reflectorless laser instruments - telemeters built into tachometers and scanners. They make the instrumental base for many important producers of surveying equipment in the world. In this article, the results of the tests on selected instruments i.e. laser tachometer TCR 303 - Leica and first in Poland panoramic scanner Callidus - German firm Callidus Precision Systems GmbH, Halle are presented. Given in the article results of the carried out experiments allow more detail characteristic of the precision of tested instruments in terms of the accuracy in the measurement of the distance up to 32 m. They also give the answer, regarding the orientation of Callidus scanner in the relation to the selected reference prisms, which has a significant influence on the accuracy of the combination of individual scanning images into one image. The accurate analysis confirms the possibility of applying parameters in orientation (lengths and directions for a bigger number of prisms) obtained in the scanning of reflectors, which in practice, allows the definition of the situation of a scanner in space, with a great precision and without the use of angle-measuring auxiliary instruments in the process of the reference of scanning observations referring to the points of the measuring base.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Orientacja sytuacyjna danych w oparciu o wskazania kompasu elektronicznego Callidusa w inwentaryzacji trudno dostępnych pustek naturalnych i górniczych(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Gawałkiewicz, Rafał ; Szafarczyk, AnnaVery popular now is a subject of protecting structures, which are the results of the miners generations work. The same refers to the natural, often unusual caves, which could be noticed and then restored and opened for the public. Such works could extend the region attractiveness. Many of those objects, according to their shallow covering could be dangerous for the surface and the buildings and structures located on this area. Nowadays the using of fully automatic laser scaners could make easy such works as iventorisation and documents bringing up to date. In the article there are presented results showing possibility of using electronical compass, which is an element of panoramic scaner Callidus, to situational orientation the clouds points when classical instrument orientation is not possible. Using the gyrotheodolite Gyromat 2000, produced by DMT it was possible to calculate the real accuracy of Callidus electronic compass.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Ortofotomapa w terenach miejskich(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Borowiec, Natalia; Zabrzeska-Gąsiorek, BarbaraOrthophotomap is a very beneficial layer in a GIS - it provides accurate base map with advantages of the photograph. In urban areas the conventional orthorectification based on a Digital Terrain Model has encountered many difficulties, because do not consider the surface of buildings, bridges, etc. Such objects remain in perspective view and have radial distortion on the resulting orthophotomaps. If buildings and other elements higher then ground describes a Digital Surface Model, the displacement can also be corrected, and results are called »true orthophotomap« - imagery without building lean. This paper presents the problems of the generation digital »true orthophotomap« in urban areas with acquisition of laser scanner data.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Photogrammetric and laser scanning data integration(2009) Mikrut, SławomirThe subject of research included integration of laser scanning data with photogrammetric data, and an attempt at identifying the 'bottlenecks' in available technologies, and offering proposals for solving them. The research was conducted based on an exemplary facility, located in the Ethnographic Park of the Village Museum at Tokarnia, Poland. One of the museum exhibits, a windmill, was utilised as a test field, as there was a good access to it, as well as because of certain, expected complications related to processing parts of the windmill, such as e.g. penthouses. The research employed a Z-F Zoller-Fröhlich, model IMAGER 5006 laser scanner, a Rollei 6008 digital photogrammetric camera, a TCR 405 POWER prismless total station, RealWorks Survey Advanced, Photomodeler and Dephos software, as well as own algorithms, collected in the authorial feature extraction software (FES). In this paper, a certain pattern of integration of photogrammetric data with a point cloud was proposed. It was based on that pattern, that the exemplary project was developed. Also, an attempt was made at improving the quality of integration though the use of algorithms of sub-pixel edging of data, both in the digital image, and in the point cloud. The so-developed methodology is useful, not only when surveying historic buildings and structures. It can also be applied in the course of works related to the surveys of buildings, industrial facilities, boring towers, etc. Also known are non-typical applications of the method, which include e.g. the survey of a post- accident condition conducted by the police on the accident spot, as well as a whole array of applications of the air scanning, which (due to their extensive scope) have not been included in this paper. The completed experiments as well as data from the literature on the subject make it possible to declare that the results of the use of photogrammetry combined with laser scanning are promising. This is a quick and an efficient technology. Owing to scanning, we can obtain a very large amount of data, while photogrammetry provides radiometric data of a high quality. That combination seems to be indispensable in near future, and one may expect it will quickly be developing.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Porównanie technologii pomiarowych dla obiektów wieżowych(Data obrony: 2015-10-27) Ryguła, Agata; Jawor, Magdalena

Wydział Geodezji Górniczej i Inżynierii ŚrodowiskaItem type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The comparison of the results of laser scanning and classical surveying methods of measuring the area and volume in the chapel of St. Kinga in the salt mine of Bochnia(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2013) Maciaszek, Jadwiga ; Madusiok, Dominik; Matwij, WojciechProviding a long durability of the historic salt mine of Bochnia demands proper observations, analyses and drawing conclusions based on them and leading to recognising and the assessment of a specific behaviour of the rock mass and the effectiveness of the protection from mining damage. The studies of the rock mass and surface deformation are carried out by the mine based on the results of the observations made with the methods of surveying. These observations include, among others, the measurements of the height of benchmarks stabilized on the surface and rock mass, the measurements of linear convergence (on the established vertical and horizontal bases in selected chambers of the mine) and since 2003 the attempts have been made to apply total stations and laser scanners to document the selected chambers. The article presents test studies on laser scanning carried out in the chapel of St. Kinga in the Bochnia Salt Mine in 2007 and 2013 (Fig. 1). They showed high accuracy of the scanning method both in the positioning of points of the salt excavation, in modelling, as well as calculation of the area of any cross-section (Fig. 2) and the volume of chambers of complicated shapes (Fig. 3). The carried out accuracy studies, analyses and comparisons were used in the calculation of the area convergence for the chapel of St. Kinga in the Bochnia Salt Mine. They make base for the calculation of volume do convergence in the near future.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Use of terrestrial laser scanning for measurements of wind power stations(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Mitka, Bartosz; Gniadek, Jacek; Klapa, PrzemysławThe continuous development of the technologies used in the construction of wind turbines makes them a promising and widely used source of energy. Wind turbines keep getting bigger, resulting in increases in their production capacity. However, both the wind turbines and their support structures are exposed to huge loads that cause the deformation of the rotor blades, vertical deflection, or vibration of the support structure and rotor blades. In this context, the issue of monitoring the technical condition of the structures of such facilities becomes important, particularly in terms of reliability and the service life of the whole system. This document shows a method of measuring a wind power station using the Leica P40 terrestrial laser scanner. The object of the research was a few-years-old wind turbine located in the village of Kluczewsko (near Włoszczowa). The examined wind turbine is 35 m high measured to the turbine base and has rotor blades that are almost 13 m long. The measurements were performed at two stages: during turbine operation and with the wind turbine at rest. This enabled us to determine the changes in the geometry of the object at dynamic loads during the operation of the plant. Each series of measurements was made from three stations evenly arranged around the entire facility, which allowed for a full recording of the wind turbine geometry as well as of its supporting structure. The measurements taken at rest and during operation of the turbine were recorded on the basis of the same points of reference, which allowed us to obtain data on the same coordinate system. The measurements were used to determine the deflection of the turbine support from the vertical axis at rest and the change of deflection under wind pressure during the turbine's operation. The vibration amplitude of the turbine's support during operation was also determined. In addition, an attempt was made to determine any changes in the geometry of the rotor blades under wind pressure. The obtained results are presented in a tabular and graphical manner.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Wykorzystanie funkcji sklejanych do opisu powłokowych budowli inżynierskich(Data obrony: 2015-02-27) Dynowska, Justyna; Basiak, Katarzyna

Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe main goal of this thesis was to use graphic cards and OpenCL technology for point clouds filtering and check the speed of calculations in comparison to non-parallel filters. Thesis contains short history of graphic cards and parallel computing on GPU, then it presents OpenCL technology and briefly describes filters from Point Clouds Library, which were used in bachelor’s project. Chapter about parallel filters contains source codes of every used filter and cloud analyzer, which were necessary for effective filtering. Results of computing are showed in next chapter, along with speed of calculations. Chapter also presents the comparison of calculations’ times between parallel and non-parallel filters. Thesis ends with short summary which contains conclusions about usage of parallel computing with point clouds filtering.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Zastosowanie skanowania laserowego w diagnostyce obiektów podlegających wpływom eksploatacji górniczej(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2006) Maciaszek, Jadwiga ; Gawałkiewicz, RafałIn the article the results of studies aiming at the definition of the degree of the usefulness of the technology of automatic laser scanning in the process of rectification (bringing back to vertical) the inclined houses in the mining areas. The laser monitoring covered two objects: a five-storey building in Ruda Śląska was measured with the Callidus scanner (to compare the results also with the electronic total station Geodimeter 610+Serwo and Nikon NPL-352), while an eleven-storey built of pre-fabricated concrete in Katowice was measured with the scanning total station Trimble 5500 DR 200+Serwo. The measurement results from the Callidus scanner were obtained with the Extraktor program. The determination of the components of the inclination vectors of the edges of the segments of both building and their sum was graphically presented in the AutoCAD program. The obtained results of the laser scanning indicate that this method allows precise diagnosis of the object and is helpful, particularly in the cases when the object gets deformed unevenly.
