Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe aim of this study was to assess the environment of the region Valleys Chocholowska and Lejowa based on the obtained results. In July and September 2011 30 rock samples and 10 soil samples were taken. On the basis of analysis, the study area, the soils are high amounts of iron and manganese, while the quantity of the other tested elements (copper, zinc, nickel, cobalt) is low. Also determined the impact of the introduction in the lower montane region in the Western Tatra forest spruces monocultures in the nineteenth to the current state of the environment.
