Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A diffusion model of binary systems controlled by chemical potential gradient(AGH University Press, 2022) Wróbel, Marek; Burbelko, Andriy A.The paper presents a model of diffusion in a single phase with chemical potential gradient as the driving force of the process. Fick's laws are strictly empirical and the assumption that the concentration gradients are the driving forces of diffusion is far from precise. Instead, the gradient of chemical potential $\mu_{i}$ of component i is the real driving force. The matter of governing equations of models that incorporate this approach will be raised and discussed in this article. One of more important features is the ability to acquire results where diffusion against the concentration gradient may occur. The presented model uses the Finite Difference Method (FDM) and employs the CALPHAD method to obtain chemical potentials. The calculations of chemical potential are carried out for instant conditions - temperature and composition - in the entire task domain by Thermo-Calc via a TQ-Interface. Then the heterogeneity of chemical potentials is translated into mass transfer for each individual element. Calculations of two modelling tasks for one-dimension diffusion field were carried out. First: isothermal conditions with linear initial composition distribution and second: constant temperature gradient with uniform chemical composition in the specimen. Results for two binary solid solutions: Fe-C and Fe-Si, in the FCC phase for the given tasks will be presented. Modelling allows us to estimate the time needed to reach a desired state in a particular equilibrium or quasi-equilibrium state. It also shows the path of the composition change during the process. This can be used to determine whether the system at some point is getting close to the formation of another phase due to significant deviation from its initial conditions.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Analiza wpływu budowy nowych jednostek wytwórczych na zapotrzebowanie na energię pierwotną do produkcji energii elektrycznej(Data obrony: 2015-10-01) Ochalik, Justyna

In urbanized areas, these include: wastewater treatment plants (WWTPs) and (depending on the type of sewage system) combined sewer overflows (CSOs) and stormwater drainage outlets. WWTPs are usually monitored and emitted pollutant loads are known, but it is more difficult to assess the pollutant load discharged by CSOs and stormwater drainage systems. The article attempts to use the Stormwater Management Model (SWMM) to assess emissions of suspended solids from a large urban combined catchment. Suspended solids are the main pollutant of stormwater runoff in urban areas, and the dynamics of their emission from catchments is very diverse. The amount of suspended solids discharged by CSOs functioning in the given city was assessed in comparison with emissions from a wastewater treatment plant. The results show that CSOs discharge a pollutant load to the receiver which is comparable to WWTPs, but in a much shorter time and in a violent manner which can lead to the severe deterioration of receiving water quality. The modelling took into account the quality of dry weather sewage, the build-up of suspended solids, wash-off processes in the catchment area, and local precipitation characteristics. Factors affecting the quality of the obtained model and the accuracy of the emission level assessment were analysed.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Badania mikrograwimetryczne wybranego poniemieckiego obiektu fortyfikacyjnego(Data obrony: 2017-01-19) Chojnacka, Anna

However, formal methods are not widely used in industrial software development. Such a situation could be treated as a result of a lack of suitable tools for fast designing of a model, its analysis and modification. RTCP-nets have been defined to facilitate fast modelling of embedded systems incorporating rule-based systems. Computer tools that are being developed for RTCP-nets, use a template mechanism to allow users to design models and manipulate its properties fast and effectively. Both theoretical and practical aspects of RTCP-nets are presented in the paper.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Gravity measurements in the Pieniny Klippen Belt (Western Slovakia)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2015) Bučová, Jana; Bielik, Miroslav; Pašteka, Roman; Plašienka, DušanThe examined area is situated in the Púchov section of the Pieniny Klippen Belt (PKB) in western Slovakia. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaElectrical Resistivity Method has a wide application in engeenering and enviromental purposes. It is useful for identification near-surface geology structures or research underground anthropogenic objects. This work show possibilities of application “resistivity imaging” method to localization after-exploitation voids. The analysis was conducted on the basis of numerical modeling of two-dimensional bodies in Res2Dmod and images obtained by inversion in Res2Dinv. Consideration was also given the question of the impact of underground metal pipe on the measurement results. Due to the difficulty in carrying out the numerical modeling for this type of object, this problem has been tested by modeling the analog (physical).Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Model DPSIR jako narzędzie efektywnego zarządzania jakością powietrza(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2023) Adamiec, Ewa; Bartyzel, Jakub; Jarosz-Krzemińska, Elżbieta; Pełech-Pilichowski, Tomasz; Rzeszutek, Mateusz; Zyśk, JanuszDecyzje i działania (odpowiedzi) podejmowane na podstawie pełnej i wiarygodnej analizy czynników sprawczych, presji, zmiany parametrów stanu i ich wpływu na środowisko, społeczeństwo oraz gospodarkę mogą z dużym prawdopodobieństwem w długoterminowej perspektywie przynieść pożądane efekty. The model should emphasis on solute depletion around dendrite tip and its influence on dendrite growth rate. Prepared model can be used to predict dendrite growth rate in metallic alloy. It was assumed that dendrite while growing occupy a spherical envelope with radius R that consists of solid dendrite and interdendritic melt enclosed by dendrite arms. Set of differential equations that built the model can be solved with numerical methods. The solution allows determination of dendrite growth rate and alloy component distribution in the liquid adjected to the dendrite and inside the solid dendrite.Item type:Thesis, Access status: Restricted , Modeling and computer simulations of discrete control for a dynamic voltage stabilizer system(Data obrony: 2017-09-15) Kuźmiak, Taras

K.; Žapbasbaev, Uzak K.; Zolotuhin, Anatolij BorisovičBottom water flow in the layer with high permeability collector created by the radial drilling technology is considered. Dynamic of bottom water filtration to high permeability collector depending on properties of layer and layer fluid are investigated. Elaboration of mathematical model of fluid filtration in reservoir with high-permeability collector and calculations presents practical meaning for definition of radial drilling efficiency and estimation of flow rate to high permeability collector. Filtration of fluid in reservoir could be described with a model of cracked-porous medium by representing collector with high permeability as a crack. However for this model it is necessary to solve system of filtration equations in crack and porous block with satisfaction of conjugate condition on medium's division boundary. Problem formulation and solution is complicated for this model in case of two phase fluid filtration. Approach based on conception of interpenetrating continuums is simpler. In this case two phase fluid filtration in porous block with high permeability collector is described from a uniform position. Some numerical results of proposed generalized model of two phase fluid filtration from low permeability block to high permeability horizontal collector are implemented. Influence of reservoir anisotropy rate on well's waterbearing, bottom water breaking time and dynamic of water-oil surface development in oil saturated layer are studied.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modelling of distribution and geometry of lithological complexes of the Ecca Group (the Karoo Supergroup) in SW Botswana(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2013) Wendorff, Marek; Radwański, Lechosław; Papiernik, BartoszThe Ecca Group, a subdivision of the Karoo Supergroup (Upper Carboniferous - Lower Jurassic) in SW Botswana is a sequence deposited as marine deltaic bodies considered to have been supplied from a cratonic source elevated north of the basin. The Karoo strata in this region are covered unconformably by sands of the Kalahari Beds (Upper Cretaceous - Recent). Therefore the bedrock outcrops are extremely rare, limited in size and a low number of boreholes drilled in this vast area (ca. 340 x 540 km) provide the only insights into the succession of the Karoo Supergroup. Very long distances between individual boreholes make correlation, interpolation between localities and interpretations of geometry of lithological bodies that would provide clues supporting basin analysis by traditional means problematic. To achieve the first approximation of the space-time relations between lithologically complex Ecca Group lithofacies associations modelling of these sediments using Petrel software was performed. These relations in turn suggest evolutionary trends of the basin during deposition of the Ecca Group strata. The model suggests two main zones of supply indicated by two distinctly different patterns of deltaic lithofacies associations, and their evolution controlled by post-Dwyka palaeotopography and its subsequent modifications by local subsidence in the centre of the depository. Initially rapid southward progradation of relatively fine-grained delta body located in the west of the area was followed by subsidence-induced aggradation interrupted by stages of abandonment and marine transgression. Such variations, emphasised by the presence of sandy clinoforms of the delta lobes separated by basinal »fines«, imply significant interplay between rates of supply and subsidence. On the other hand, the delta formed in the east contains relatively high proportion of coarse-grained sandstone facies overlying prodelta fines as laterally extensive tabular body formed most probably by lateral migration of distributary channels and delta-front mouthbars, and devoid of abandonment stages. Proximal litofacies of the 'western delta' fill the subsiding depocentre and grade distally into synchronously deposited prodelta fines towards the south. By contrast, distal fine-grained prodelta facies fill basin depocentre in the eastern area and are overlain by proximal facies of the 'eastern delta'.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modelling of the seat suspension system for the vibration control system(2013) Koszewnik, Andrzej Piotr; Gosiewski, ZdzisławIn this paper, a model of the passive seat suspension system is designed. To verify the model the excitation signals are modelled by using generator embedded to Simulink software. Additionally, the excitation signal is filtered with the use of the Butterworth filters. The vibroisolation properties of the system are calculated on the basis of the ratio transmissibility of the vibration. The investigations proved that the designed system is correctly modelled and the system damps the vibration speciously in the most dangerous frequency range up to 20 Hz.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Modelling of the semi-active suspension system(2011) Gorczyca, Przemysław; Rosół, MaciejThe paper is concerned with a mathematical model of the Semi-Active Suspension system (SAS) of a vehicle equipped with the magnetorheological rotary brake manufactured by the Lord Corporation. SAS is a laboratory system animating the suspension action of a car quarter. A simulation model written in the MATLAB/Simulink environment is shown. The parameters of the mathematical model are identified by optimization procedures based on experimental data collected in the real-time. The mathematical model is verified. It means that appropriate system trajectories of SAS and the simulation model are compared.
