Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe main purpose of this work was to characterize the groundwater natural vulnerability to pollution in parts of MGB 326 and MGB 409 on Skała MhP 1:50 000 map sheet area. The evaluation of the vulnerability was based on the MRT method- the travel time of conservative contaminants dissolved in water from the ground surface to the aquifer. The ultimate map and the information layers were drawn up with the Esri ArcGis software. The physicochemical properties of the examined water were established during the field and laboratory research. The author of the thesis evaluated the current condition of the water quality. In addition he determined which indicators cause the water quality deterioration. The main factors causing the water pollution on the entire map sheet area appeared to be nitrates. The thesis includes the measurement of water flow, water depth measure, the inventory of contamination sources that may constitute the potential risk of groundwater and it also examines groundwater vulnerability to the process of contamination. The basis of groundwater quality assessment are water samples from three different points. The samples have undergone physical and chemical analysis. In terms of the point assessment of groundwater condition, all points have the 3rd quality class. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThis thesis provides an assessment of vulnerability to pollution of groundwater Rudawa river catchment. The paper also contains description of basic methods for assessing groundwater vulnerability to pollution, such as DRASTIC method and the method based on the time of the vertical seepage resident time. Rudawa catchment area is the most susceptible to groundwater contamination in relation to utility main aquifer. Results from a method based on the vertical seepage time and DRASTIC method are worrying. As many as 36.2% - a method I and 33.4% - method II Rudawa catchment area is very susceptible to contamination of groundwater, mainly in NE part of catchment area. The factors that played a most important role was limited to a depth of utility main aquifer, upper Jurassic aquifer outcrops and a large effective infiltration in this area. DRASTIC method by increasing quantity parameters of 84.9% of land area classified as vulnerable and susceptible to the average pollution of groundwater. In order to obtain and optimize the results it is recommended that the study area, the use of both methods. The thesis contains information about geological and hydrogeological conditions of the studied area and also its development. Characteristic of research area due to the hydrodynamic parameters which have a direct influence on groundwater vulnerability to contaminations has been evaluated. Do realizacji celu pracy posłużono się programem komputerowym ArcGIS, w którym wykonywano wszystkie mapy załączone w pracy. Głównym wynikiem pracy jest Mapa podatności wód podziemnych pierwszego użytkowego poziomu wodonośnego na zanieczyszczenia. Podatność jest uwarunkowana czasem przesiąkania wody do pierwszego użytkowego poziomu wodonośnego. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaPraca dyplomowa ma na celu zbadanie wpływu warunków hydrogeologicznych na zwiększenie podatności wód podziemnych na zanieczyszczenie na obszarze zlewni Białej Tarnowskiej. Praca została wykonana w oparciu o techniki GIS, przy pomocy programów ArcGis i QGis. W treści pracy opisano parametry zlewni oraz dokonano analizy ich wpływu na wrażliwość wód podziemnych. W celu wykonania pracy posłużono się licznymi mapami o różnej skali oraz opracowaniami i innymi materiałami źródłowymi. Wydział Geologii, Geofizyki i Ochrony ŚrodowiskaThe purpose of this study is to present the groundwater vulnerability for anthropogenic contaminations in the catchment of Królewski Potok, that is located in the north Raba area. The catchment area is about 30 km2 and it is mostly occupied by the farmlands. In order to determine the suitability of natural-groundwater contaminations, a model of ArcGis has been done, which end result is a map showing the approximate time of the MRT, ie. time to replace the volumetric moisture content of soils and rocks of the vadose zone by infiltrating rainwater. Time has been divided into classes according to the obtained susceptibility. Based on the available data and researches, groundwater quality were correlated with the resulting map MRT and potential outbreaks of contaminations. The analysis model indicated that the susceptibility of groundwater in the catchment area of the Królewski Potok is large. Next, the con-frontation of qualitative studies conducted by Furtak (2014) reveal that the water quality in the catchment of the Kró-lewski Potok is poor (according to the Water Framework Directive (RDW, 2000)), and the water quality is near IV and V water quality classes (according to the Regulation of the Minister of the Environment (RMŚ, 2008)). The high water vulnerability and poor chemical status may indicated, that it is necessary to take steps to improve the quality of groundwater in the catchment area of the Królewski Potok.
