Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Podstawowe różnice pomiędzy treścią istniejących dokumentacji glebowych a stanem faktycznym(2007) Eckes, Teresa; Gołda, TadeuszW artykule porównano treści map glebowych ze stanem rzeczywistym, o którym wiedzy dostarczył opis 66 odkrywek glebowych. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Lease as form of municipal land management - case study(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Trojanek, MariaThis paper presents information about different forms of land management, especially land leasing. Land lease transactions in Poznan, one of Poland's regional cities, have been analyzed. The research has shown that, in Poland, long-term leases have been used in a very limited (partial) scope so far. Most often, lease agreements are concluded for up to three years with the possibility of extension, although the law provides for the possibility of concluding contracts for longer periods. During the years of 1996-2014, the city of Poznan concluded only 18 long-term lease agreements, which is caused by the dominant form of managing public lands - perpetual usufruct.Item type:Journal Issue, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering2016 - Vol. 10 - No. 3Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Usage of GIS – technologies for plots of land registration(2016) Greŝuk, Galina Igorìvna; Kolodìj, PavloWykorzystanie systemów informacji geograficznej do inwentaryzacji i zarządzania gruntami zasługuje na uwagę. Kartograficzne przedstawienie tych informacji w systemie informacji geograficznej wymaga wykorzystania dodatkowych funkcji, związanych z rodzajem prezentowanych danych, zastosowania nowych rozwiązań technologicznych oraz sporządzenia odpowiedniej dokumentacji technicznej. W niniejszym artykule zbadano możliwość wykorzystania środowiska oprogramowania Digitalis jako systemu informacji geograficznej pozwalającego na gromadzenie i przetwarzanie informacji kartograficznej dotyczącej gruntów. Przeanalizowano możliwości oprogramowania jako narzędzia wspierającego racjonalne wykorzystanie gruntów oraz regulacje stanu prawnego nieruchomości. Badano również możliwości wykorzystania danych teledetekcyjnych w programie Digitalis.Item type:Journal Issue, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering2025 - Vol. 19 - No. 1Item type:Journal Issue, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering2020 - Vol. 14 - No 3Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Trophic state assessment of Dobczyce Reservoir(2010) Kowalczyk, ElżbietaIn this article, the results of trophic state assessment of Dobczyce Reservoir are presented. The assessment of reservoir's trophic state was performed using traditional trophical indicators and the numerical criterion of trophic conditions (ITS). The possibility of the application of the numerical criterion of trophic conditions was confirmed on the base of correlation analysis. The tendency of the eutrophication process development in Dobczyce Reservoir and the dynamics of changes of main eutrophication factors in this reservoir were investigated. The analysis was performed based on reservoir's monitoring data collected in the period of 2002 and 2004. The access to monitoring data was provided by MPWiK S.A. in Krakow (Municipal Enterprise of Water Supply and Sewerage). Methodological basis of the presented research is theoretical and statistical analysis (correlative and regressive), performed using Statistica ver. 8.0 program.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analysis of Road Network Structure Using Scale-Free Network Theory in Context of Potential Fire Department Interventions in Urbanized Area(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2025) Kowalczyk, Anna Maria; Garustowicz, AdamRoads are essential to fire departments for saving lives and protecting health. The development of urban structures and the increasing complexity of transport systems necessitate the search for novel solutions and tools for spatial analyses in safety terms. This study aims to determine whether the city’s transport system network exhibits scale-free network characteristics and whether crucial center nodes can be identified for the efficient functioning of the entire system. The study developed two transport system network models: one based on the Topographic Objects Database, and the other on data from devices that record vehicle traffic at selected nodes. Both were found to follow the bell-shaped curve characteristic of random networks, however, the second network model differed significantly from the first model due to the identification of nodes that could potentially act as hubs in an emerging scale-free network. A simulation was conducted to model the impact of cutting off these crucial nodes (centers), with a visualization of the network structure’s behavior. In conclusion, using scale-free network theory to optimize FD operations is reasonable and useful. In this scenario, the transport system network displays scale-free characteristics, thus allowing for the identification of the most crucial functional points of the entire structure.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Analysis of the quality of academic education of geodesy and cartography graduates with respect to employment in geodesy administration(2010) Buśko, Małgorzata; Przewięźlikowska, AnnaW artykule przedstawiono analizę jakości wykształcenia akademickiego absolwentów kierunku geodezja i kartografia w aspekcie zatrudnienia w administracji geodezyjnej. This study aimed to determine the potential use of dumped SW at the landfill as raw material for the production of refuse derived fuel (RDF). Buried SW samples were collected at a passive zone of the landfill in six locations. The samples were sieved using 10 and 30 mm mesh sieves. A composition analysis was conducted following the ASTM D5231-92 method to sample fractions of greater than 30 mm size. The density was measured according to the weight and volume. The moisture and volatile matter contents were analyzed using the ASTM D2216-10 and D3175-07 methods, respectively. The calorific value was measured using a Parr C3000 bomb calorimeter following the ASTM D5865 method. The buried SW composition was dominated by a fraction size that was greater than 30 mm (79.4%). This fraction was dominantly composed of plastics (71.2%) and had average volatile matter and calorific values which met RDF criteria as a fuel. However, the ash and moisture contents exceeded the standards and, therefore, required appropriate treatments before their applications.Item type:Journal Issue, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering2011 - Vol. 5 - No. 2Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Small and low-cost mobile mapping systems(2011) Kolecki, JakubNowadays acquisition of large amount of data for various mapping applications like creation of a terrain, building or a building part models is performed mainly using laser scanners or photogrammetric methods. From early nineties we observe more intensive development of a mobile mapping systems integrating various types of cameras not only with positioning systems like GPS, but also with inertial measurements units (IMU) and other geo-referencing sensors. Such mobile mapping devices have obviously very high prices, are large-sized and have usually very high weight. There are however some lightweight constructions basing on alternative solutions other then those met in expensive commercial systems. The researches conducted among many institutions in the world show that such systems may be in fact constructed using relatively inexpensive devices, available on the market. The accuracy demands could be satisfied for a bulk of mapping applications. This paper addresses the topic of low-cost mobile mapping systems. First of all a few examples of such systems will be presented, and then more detailed overview of geo-referencing technologies will be given.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Entering parcel boundaries into the Polish register of land and buildings - an analysis of the current state and proposed changes(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2020) Maślanka, JózefThe Polish register of land and buildings (EGiB), also known as the real estate cadastre, is of both a technical and declarative nature, which means that the data resulting from special technical, formal and legal procedures should be precisely entered into the EGiB database and then made available to users without distortions or deficiencies. The subject of this research paper is the analysis of formal, legal and technical problems that occur in the process of entering data on the boundaries of cadastral parcels into EGiB. Based on the legal provisions, subject literature, as well as real cases derived from surveying practice, the author performs a descriptive formal and comparative analysis of cur‑rent legal and technical solutions used to enter boundaries of cadastral parcels into the EGiB database. As a result of these analyses, the author has concluded that the existing legal solutions allow neither full and precise entering of parcel boundaries nor providing users with correct data resulting from the performed surveys and legal works. Defects, difficulties and barriers faced when entering boundary data into the register can lead to the distortion of the relevant information, and thus to the decreased reliability of EGiB. The author's proposal is to introduce into the application schema the concept of the boundary segment, together with appropriate attributes defining the structure of the cadastral database. This would allow the elimination of many existing problems and provide EGiB users with reliable and complete information.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Geomatics-enabled Interdisciplinary Approach Based on Geospatial Data Processing for Hydrogeological Risk-analysis(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2024) Di Stefano, Francesco; Chiappini, Stefano; Sanità, Marsia; Pierdicca, Roberto; Malinverni, Eva SavinaHydrogeological risks that are associated with rivers have emerged as a significant concern worldwide, impacting both natural ecosystems and human settlements. This contribution presents an interdisciplinary project that leverages many technologies for data-acquisition and modeling to comprehensively analyze and manage risks in riverine environments. The project integrates geomatics, geological, and hydrological techniques to provide a holistic understanding of river dynamics and their associated hazards. As a central component of this project, geomatics plays a pivotal role in instrumental field surveying through the deployment of photogrammetry and LiDAR instruments. Remote-sensing data from satellite imagery further enriches the project’s temporal analysis capabilities. By analyzing this data over time, researchers can monitor changes in river patterns, land use, and climate-related variables, this helps identify trends and potential triggers for hydrological events. To manage and integrate the vast amount of geospatial information that is generated, a geodatabase within a geographic information system (GIS) has been established. It enables efficient data storage, retrieval, and analysis, fostering collaboration among multidisciplinary researcher teams. This system offers tools for risk-assessment, modeling, and scenario planning, these allow for proactive measures for mitigating hydrological risks.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Contamination and environmental risk assessment of heavy metals in sediments of Dobczyce Reservoir and its tributaries - a literature review(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Zemełka, GabrielaMost transported particles released from a catchment area are deposited and accumulated in the sediment layers of water reservoirs. Along with mineral particles, contaminants originating from human activity and natural processes are added to such aquatic systems (e.g., heavy metals). This is an especially important issue when a reservoir is being used as a source of drinking water. The main aim of this study was the environmental risk assessment of the sediment in the Dobczyce Reservoir and two of its tributaries (the Raba River and Wolnica Stream) during the years of 2004-2007 and 2016, 2017. Substantial variations in heavy metals were found due to the land use and catchment management. The potential ecological risk showed an uneven distribution, and the overall ecological risk level ranged from low to moderate.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Determination of angular standard deviation with total stations(2010) Dzierżęga, AlojzyA compact, laboratory based method is introduced that verifies the angular measuring accuracy of surveying instruments. It is suited for service workshops or institutions with limited space available.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Low-Cost 3D Depth Sensors for Mobile Applications and Control Systems – Accuracy Assessments Using Surveying Techniques(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2025) Janos, Daniel; Ortyl, Łukasz ; Kuras, PrzemysławThis article focuses on low-cost LiDAR (light detection and ranging) sensors and 3D depth cameras. Particular attention was paid to their accuracy and compliance with the technical specifications that were provided by their respective manufacturers. The following devices were tested: Stereolabs ZED 2i, Stereolabs ZED, and Intel RealSense D435i depth cameras, and the Intel RealSense L515 LiDAR sensor. An experiment was carried out to measure a geometrically diverse environment (which is typical for in-motion imaging) where both the measurement range and the distortion that is generated by each device’s algorithms on edges, folds, planes, and 3D objects could be evaluated. Depth sensors are often used with excessive confidence as to their geometric reliability. The aim of this work is to assess the actual accuracy of such sensors, which may constitute the ground truth for accuracy losses that could result from the operations of autonomous vehicles. Based on the results, the accuracy information that was provided by the respective manufacturers was difficult to obtain under real conditions. It was found that the low-cost devices could be used in industrial projects, but their operations must take place under certain conditions and settings. It was also necessary to know their capabilities and limitations in order to take full advantage of what they offer.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The evolution of the market value definition(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2022) Kucharska-Stasiak, EwaThe purpose of the study is the following: (1) indicate the economic sources of the definition of value, including the market value of real estate, (2) present the definition and interpretation of this category, (3) its evolution and the difficult path towards its acceptance in Polish conditions, and (4) identify the reasons for this category being frequently misunderstood in the professional environment. A research hypothesis was put forward that the market value is of a contract nature, its definition and interpretation may change. The study employed a critical analysis of the source literature and legal documents as its methods.
