Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Podstawowe różnice pomiędzy treścią istniejących dokumentacji glebowych a stanem faktycznym(2007) Eckes, Teresa; Gołda, TadeuszW artykule porównano treści map glebowych ze stanem rzeczywistym, o którym wiedzy dostarczył opis 66 odkrywek glebowych. Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Lease as form of municipal land management - case study(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Trojanek, MariaThis paper presents information about different forms of land management, especially land leasing. Land lease transactions in Poznan, one of Poland's regional cities, have been analyzed. The research has shown that, in Poland, long-term leases have been used in a very limited (partial) scope so far. Most often, lease agreements are concluded for up to three years with the possibility of extension, although the law provides for the possibility of concluding contracts for longer periods. During the years of 1996-2014, the city of Poznan concluded only 18 long-term lease agreements, which is caused by the dominant form of managing public lands - perpetual usufruct.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Acceptance testing of web applications with Test Description Language(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2014) Olek, Łukasz; Alchimowicz, Bartosz; Nawrocki, Jerzy RyszardAcceptance tests are usually created by a client after a part of a system is implemented. However, some methodologies propose the elaboration of test cases before implementing a system. This approach increases the probability of system implementation that fulfills requirements, but may be problematic for customers and testers. To allow acceptance testing in such conditions, we propose to define test cases by recording them on an interactive mockup (a low detailed user-interface prototype). The paper focuses on Test Description Language, a notation used to store test cases.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Approximate solutions of a singular integral equation with Cauchy kernels in the quarter plane(2008) Pylak, DorotaIn the paper, we present explicit formulae for the solution of the singular integral equation with Cauchy kernels in the quarter plane. Next, Jacobi and Chebyshev polynomials are used to derive approximate solutions of this equation.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Fréchet differential of a power series in Banach algebras(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Silvestri, BenedettoWe present two new forms in which the Fréchet differential of a power series in a unitary Banach algebra can be expressed in terms of absolutely convergent series involving the commutant $C(T) : A \mapsto [A,T]$. Then we apply the results to study series of vector-valued functions on domains in Banach spaces and to the analytic functional calculus in a complex Banach space.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , A new composition theorem for Sp-weighted pseudo almost periodic functions and applications to semilinear differential equations(2011) Zhao, Zhi-Han; Chang, Yong-Kui; N'Guérékata, G. M.In this paper, we establish a new composition theorem for $S^p$-weighted pseudo almost periodic functions under weaker conditions than the Lipschitz ones currently encountered in the literatures. We apply this new composition theorem along with the Schauder's fixed point theorem to obtain new existence theorems for weighted pseudo almost periodic mild solutions to a semilinear differential equation in a Banach space.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , The interdisciplinarity of the publications of the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice based on the analysis of the co-occurrence of issues specific to medicine and computer science(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2024) Paluch, Ewelina; Mikulska, MarcelaOver the years, the study of the interdisciplinarity of publications has taken various forms, from its identification based on the disciplines represented by the authors, through the examination of citations used when writing the article, to the analysis of the publication text itself. The last of these approaches seems to be the most reliable in the context of verifying the real integration between disciplines in a specific text. The approach utilized in the conducted research facilitates a deeper analysis of integration not only between disciplines in general but also between specific issues within their domains, aiding the examination of the intensity of such connections. The research was aimed at analyzing publications affiliated with the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice in terms of their connection with issues included in the area of Computer Science. OpenAlex, a bibliographic database supported by data mainly from Scopus, WoS and Google Scholar, which uses concepts that make up the Wikidata knowledge base to describe the content of publications was used. A list of 14,136 publications from the Medical University of Silesia in Katowice was downloaded from the OpenAlex bibliographic database including such data as: publication id, title, author, abstract, journal, date of publication, ISSN number or concepts. Overall, the most prevalent concepts in the publications were concepts regarding the field of the medicine (medicine, internal medicine, cardiology). The most prevalent concepts concerning computer science in the publications were: computer science, logistic regression and artificial intelligence. The strenght of the connections between concepts regarding medicine and computer science was calculated by calculating the arithmetic mean of the score value for each pair of IT and medical concepts contained in a single publication. The study showed the importance of computer Science issues in the medical publications and highligted the growing importance of AI in the field of medicine.Item type:Journal Issue, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering2016 - Vol. 10 - No. 3Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , European perpetrator programmes: a survey on day-to-day outcome measurement(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2015) Ginés Canales, Oriol; Geldschläger, Heinrich; Nax, David; Ponce, ÁlvaroEvaluating the results of programmes for perpetrators of domestic violence is essential for both policy makers and practitioners, and a growing number of studies have addressed this issue. However, few studies have described the ongoing, day-to-day outcome measurements routinely undertaken by perpetrator programmes to monitor their results. As part of the IMPACT Evaluation of European Perpetrator Programmes project, in the present study 134 domestic violence perpetrator programmes from 22 European countries answered a survey on the designs, methods and instruments they use in their current day-to-day outcome monitoring practice and on the obstacles to and need for improvements in this practice. The main results include the findings that 20% of programmes do not measure outcomes at all, that there is a great diversity in methods and instruments used, and a low percentage of programmes make use of data from the victims/survivors and from follow-ups.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Metavolcanics of Nordenskiöld Land from SW Svalbard as an example of new ocean crust(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2012) Gołuchowska, Karolina; Barker, Abigail; Manecki, Maciej; Majka, Jarosław ; Czerny, JerzyThis study concerns late Neoproterozoic metavolcanics from southwestern Svalbard in an investigation to trace the evolution of oceans plate rifting.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Burial crypts in solid rock - a geophysical case study of a small church with a unique polychrome in Szydłów (S Poland)(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Zieliński, Artur; Łyskowski, Mikołaj; Mazurkiewicz, Ewelina; Lubarska, Kinga WiktoriaLesser Poland (Małopolska) is a historic region of Poland. The presented case study was undertaken in the All Saints' Church in the town of Szydłów, in which conservation and restoration works were carried out to preserve Gothic wall paintings by identifying and eliminating the causes of their degradation, and these efforts were supported by geophysical surveying. The conducted studies constitute a step not only to determine the age of the construction of the Szydłów temple, but also to improve knowledge of medieval architecture and mural paintings in Lesser Poland. The geophysical research with application of GPR (Ground Penetrating Radar) helped to locate previously unknown structures under the temple floor. This survey indicated four, possibly connected, structural objects clearly visible in GPR profiles. Carried out works confirmed that anomalies visible on radargrams mark two crypts. This discovery of the hidden construction elements emphasizes and strengthens the earlier suppositions of the unique character of this temple.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Towards theory of C-symmetries(2017) Kužel', Sergìj Oleksandrovič; Sudìlovsʹka, Veronìka IgorìvnaThe concept of $\mathcal{C}$-symmetry originally appeared in $\mathcal{PT}$-symmetric quantum mechanics is studied within the Krein spaces framework.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Calculation of assimilation process of non-metallic inclusions by slag(AGH University of Science and Technology Press, 2017) Kalisz, DorotaThis paper presents the results of calculating the phenomenon of the absorption of non-metallic precipitates in steel by slag. Calculations are made for the forces acting on the non-metallic particles in steel during the flow-out into the slag, depending on the particle radius and physicochemical properties of the liquid steel and slag. An analysis of the calculation results of capillary force acting on a particle in the vicinity of the steel-slag interface at changing surface energy values between the precipitates and slag shows that capillary force depends on the interfacial tension between the precipitates and slag only to a small degree.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , O gender jako kategorii teoretycznej socjologii. The innovation and optimization of current processes is a necessary element to achieve this goal. With the help of numerical simulations, it is possible to replace financially demanding and time-consuming experiments in real conditions with simulations that can reliably represent foundry process using computer technology. By a detailed analysis of the simulation results, we can predict various risks that could negatively affect the production process. This article monitors the influence of changes in the design of the gating system on the surface quality of a clutch wheel casting made of ductile iron, in the production of which two models of the gating system for casting were constructed in CAD software. Verification of gating systems was performed using the simulation software NovaFlow & Solid. The aim of the design change of the gating system is to reduce the amount of liquid metal used per casting, which can have a significant economic impact on industrial production. For this purpose, several simulations of the gating system of the casting were performed, while 2 which are the most representative for the mentioned problem were selected for the needs of the article. The main task of the simulation was to set the cellular network and conditions as close as possible to the reality of casting and the subsequent design and modification of the gating system.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Dynomenid crabs (Decapoda, Brachyura) from Upper Cenomanian-Lower Turonian nearshore, shallow-water strata in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Czech Republic(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2014) Kočová Veselská, Martina; Kočí, TomášConditions of preservation of small crabs at nearshore deposits in the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin (BCB) were poor and fossil record is mostly restricted to fragmentary pereiopods, i.e. isolated propodi or dactyli, whereas crab carapaces in the area are rather rare. Excluding three specimens of dynomenid Graptocarcinus texanus Roemer, 1887 and one necrocarcinid carapace fragment, no other carapaces are known from the nearshore deposits of the BCB. These partially crushed carapaces lacking chelipeds or other appendages come from the lower Turonian calcareous siltstones at Kamajka.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Dwadzieścia lat eksperymentu z lokalną partycypacją mniejszości romskiej w podhalańskiej gminie(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2017) Witkowski, Maciej; Nowicka, EwaThe text is a case study of the relationship between the initiation of activities defined in the Roma Government Integration Program as being aimed at increasing the participation of the Roma community in the social life of rural areas, and the real nature of relations between Roma and non-Roma. The article was devoted to the role of local government in implementing Roma integration strategies. We describe the situation of a Roma community belonging to the Bergitka Roma group. The main subject of analysis is the consequences of the »integration« measures taken by officials and local policymakers in contact with the inhabitants of the Roma settlement. From the perspective of local authorities, the current situation is defined as difficult. Its representatives try to avoid on one hand accusations of discrimination against ethnic minority communities on one hand, and of favouring the Roma on the other. Balancing the expectations of both sides, local authorities use solutions known as »participatory actions«.Item type:Article, Access status: Open Access , Usage of GIS – technologies for plots of land registration(2016) Greŝuk, Galina Igorìvna; Kolodìj, PavloWykorzystanie systemów informacji geograficznej do inwentaryzacji i zarządzania gruntami zasługuje na uwagę. Kartograficzne przedstawienie tych informacji w systemie informacji geograficznej wymaga wykorzystania dodatkowych funkcji, związanych z rodzajem prezentowanych danych, zastosowania nowych rozwiązań technologicznych oraz sporządzenia odpowiedniej dokumentacji technicznej. W niniejszym artykule zbadano możliwość wykorzystania środowiska oprogramowania Digitalis jako systemu informacji geograficznej pozwalającego na gromadzenie i przetwarzanie informacji kartograficznej dotyczącej gruntów. Przeanalizowano możliwości oprogramowania jako narzędzia wspierającego racjonalne wykorzystanie gruntów oraz regulacje stanu prawnego nieruchomości. Badano również możliwości wykorzystania danych teledetekcyjnych w programie Digitalis.Item type:Journal Issue, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering2025 - Vol. 19 - No. 1Item type:Journal Issue, Geomatics and Environmental Engineering2020 - Vol. 14 - No 3
