Malakofauna osadów jeziornych torfowiska Gajlik na Pojezierzu Sejneńskim (północno-wschodnia Polska)
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Alexandrowicz, Witold Paweł; Żurek, Sławomir
Malacological analysis was conducted on snails and bivalve shells present in calcareous gytia and lacustrine chalk of the Gajlik mire in the Sejny Lake District. Thirteen species of water molluscs were identified within six analyzed samples. Changes observed in the structure and composition of molluscs, supplemented by palynological data, and the results of radiocarbon datings allowed for the reconstruction of the mire's evolution during Late Glacial and Early Holocene period. Molluscs' shells occurred solely in sediments associated with warmer periods (interphase Alleröd and Preboreal-Boreal phases of Holocene). Additionally, they were not present in sediments associated with cold Late Glacial periods.
Definicja i elementy budowy tzw. czapy gipsowej na przykładzie badań czap struktur solnych Wapna i Mogilna
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Jaworska, Joanna; Ratajczak, Rafał; Wilkosz, Paweł
Cap-rocks of Wapno and Mogilno salt domes have been investigated. The cap-rock is a complex object, both because of the material (petrographic composition), and the later stages of its formation (diagenetic and tectonic evolution). The cap rock consists of: - material from dissolution of the rock salt (residuum), - detached blocks of rocks surrounding salt dome or accompanying rock salt, - weathering waste of cap-rock, - gypsum-clay breccia (of various genesis), - new minerals precipitated from solutions circulating with the cap-rock. Additional problem is to determine the cap-rock age.
Badania genezy cechsztyńskich złóż miedzi w Polsce
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Kucha, Henryk; Pawlikowski, Maciej
Kupferschiefer Cu deposits were probably formed as a result of two brines mixing. The upper cold brine (UCB) was base metal-free but rich in Na, Ca, SO$_{4}$ and Cl with pH > 7 and originating from evaporates overlying the Cu deposits. The lower hot brine (LHB) was rich in Mg, K, Cl, SO$_{4}$, CO$_{2}$ and pH < 7 formed in the central part of the Polish Zechstein Basin at a depth of 6-7 km. The LHB was heated up to 200-250°C and was a subject of upward convection towards the Zechstein suboutcrops along the bottom of the Z1 carbonates. The mineralization process was a result of the mixing of the brines LHB and UCB, and catalytic autooxidation of organic matter of the black shale which operated at shallow depth of the Fore-Sudetic Monocline. The boundary of these brines generally overlapped the strike of the black shale. The presence of nests and veinlets of silvite (KCl), AgCl (chloargirite) and K-castaingite in the black shale bottom speaks in favor of the LHB existence. Parts of shale-free Cu deposits suggest that the action of two brines was capable of accumulation of economic Cu, Pb and Zn ore horizons. Where the boundary of brines overlaps the autooxidation zone (the black shale bottom) and also coincides with á and g radiation of thucholite concentrations of noble metals occur. The characteristic vertical distribution of the quadruplet hematite Cu Pb Zn from the bottom upwards is universal in the Kupferschiefer deposits.
Stan zachowania wybranych piaskowców budowlanych Polski poddanych działaniu siarczanu sodu oraz dwutlenku siarki w obecności wilgoci
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Rembiś, Marek; Smoleńska, Anna
Selected sandstones quarried in Lower Silesia and the northern margin of the Holy Cross Mts have been studied. The study focused on the stone resistance to crystallization of sodium sulphate, according to the standard PN-EN 12370: 2001, and on ageing under the influence of SO$_{2}$ in the presence of moisture, according to the standard PN-EN 13919: 2004. It has been revealed that the destruction of the sandstones, often used in civil engineering, is mainly caused by crystallization of thenardite in their pores. As a result, an increasing crystallization pressure loosens the stone rigidity and imparts fracturing of the cement. The lowest resistance to the action of sodium sulphate was manifested by Jurassic sandstones (particularly those from the Nietulisko deposit) and most of the Cretaceous ones, both characterized by high porosity, as well as laminated Triassic sandstones (from the Tumlin Gród deposit). Destruction of the sandstones affected by sulphuric acid vapours is weaker: the changes result from dissolution of the feldspars of the framework and the clay minerals of the cement. The highest respective resistance was shown by Jurassic sandstones from the Nietulisko deposit as they contain low amounts of feldspars, whereas the lowest resistance by the sandstones from the Długopole deposit, which are rich in feldspars.
Analiza porównawcza efektywności tłumienia fali powierzchniowej za pomocą transformacji falkowej, transformacji Radona, filtracji pasmowej oraz filtracji F-K
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2010) Szymańska-Małysa, Żaneta
The objective of the paper is to present the comparison analysis of the effectiveness of surface wave attenuation using wavelet transform, Radon transform, bandpass filter and F-K filter. Wavelet transform was performed in MATLAB computing environment. Radon transform, bandpass filter and F-K filter were realized in seismic data processing system ProMAX. The basic part of the paper is devoted to the analysis of surface wave attenuation by means of the wavelet transform treated as innovative tool of seismic data processing. In the analysis the common shot point gathers (seismic records) were used for the case of dynamite seismic. The influence of the wavelet transform parameters on the effectiveness of surface wave attenuation from seismic records wave images was defined. The comparison was performed using seismic records wave images and their mean amplitude spectra.
