Alternatywizm, dysjunktywizm i pluralizm doświadczeniowy
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Zięba, Paweł Jakub
The claim currently known as »disjunctivism« is usually interpreted in terms of exclusive disjunction. However, it can be also explicated through the lens of alternative denial. The aim of this paper is to show that the latter interpretation is more accurate. Firstly, it reflects the core of disjunctivism more precisely. Secondly, it reduces metaphysical weight of the claim, thereby making it more plausible.
Leona Chwistka teoria wielości rzeczywistości w sztuce
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Bednarz, Gabriel
In my article, I briefly present the axioms of Leon Chwistek's theory of manifold reality (TMR). This theory is the basis of his theory of manifold reality in art (TMRA). I present and critically evaluate erroneous beliefs (concerning TMR and TMRA) contained in the literature. The aim of my article is to originally present and discuss psychological foundations of Chwistek's theory of art. In particular, I present and discuss: (1) two meanings of the notion »work of art« derived on the basis of two relations: work – experience of enthusiasm, and work – aesthetic experience, (2) two meanings of the notion »content of the work of art«, (3) relations between the axioms (beliefs) of TMR and means of every type of art contained in TMRA.
Positive thinking – a universal cure for modern-day diseases?
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Butmanowicz-Dębicka, Iwona
In this article, I analyse features of positive thinking which have made this ideological trend come to be a perceived as a panacea for the whole spectrum of shortcomings felt by many modern people and, in their conviction, are blocking their ability to succeed and enjoy life. Most therapies and self-improvement techniques offered are now deeply embedded in modern reality and, irrespective of their intellectual level, proven results or magical atmosphere, are highly popular. Therefore, we should ask why this has happened, i.e. what do individual positive thinking schools actually offer? In this article I present concepts which lead to answer this question.
Mowa nienawiści wobec kultury dominującej. Forumowicze portalu onet.pl o Kościele katolickim w Polsce
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Synowiec-Jaje, Lidia
In the article I discuss the phenomenon of hate speech towards Catholic Church in the context of the contemporary criticism of this institution in Poland. I analyze the comments of the Internet users on popular portal Onet.pl for the characteristics of the hate speech. I enumerate its recipients and forms which we can specify during the deep analysis. I interpret also the language of the Internet users. I try to point the causes of hate speech online and partly characterize an average hater. I point out the salience of my research problem and I try to prove why we should research the Internet which is specific environment.
Społeczny wymiar »Energiewende« – rozwój energetyki prosumenckiej w Austrii
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Kucharska, Anna
Prosumers are the part of new type of society that is being gradually created together with the process of energy transition into environmentally friendly model of energy system based on renewables. Prosumers are active market participants, which benefit from the energy transition. These informed consumers can, through their choices, drive development of green energy and support environment protection. Their active role in energy system entails certain challenges related to the economic and technical issues. Therefore, there is need to implement appropriate legal basis to regulate involvement of consumers on the market as well as to develop new technologies and infrastructure in order to enable them an access to the system. These actions collectively aim to strengthen national economy and ensure security of energy supply.
