Modelling of influence of some cutting process parameters on chatter amplitude
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Jabłoński, Wojciech Piotr; Zagórski, Krzysztof
Vibrations are an inseparable, and in most cases, undesirable effect that accompanies cutting. They are one of the main causes which limit development of machine tools systems. For this reason, the problems of nature of vibrations are studied in many publications and research. Paper contains the results of model study concerning the influence of some cutting parameters (cutting speed, depth-of-cut, corner radius etc) on chatter amplitude. Characteristics of real process were also presented.
Data acquisition system for velocity pattern investigation of a stream in centrifugal pump suction duct
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Konieczny, Jarosław; Korzeniowski, Roman; Mikoś, Marian; Karch, Michał
In the thesis are presented structure and potential measuring stand realized on need of investigation of influence of the additional angular momentum of a stream under suction on formation the field of velocity in space before the impeller of the impeller pump. Measurement stand will make possible the qualification of influence of parameters additional stream liquid, introduced to space before impeller, on quality of inflow of stream on stockade of blades.
Humidity-temperature ageing and glass fiber content influence into material degradation - plastic snaps with torsional beams analysis
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Młyniec, Andrzej; Uhl, Tadeusz
A study in accelerated humidity-temperature ageing of plastic snaps made of glass-fiber-reinforced composites based on poly(butylene terephthalate) is reported. Samples in the form of latches with torsional beams, manufactured from PBT with various contents of glass fibers (10, 20 and 30%) were subject to accelerated ageing with the use of three various ageing cycles: two kinds of Humidity-Temperature Cycling and simple thermal ageing. The obtained results showed decrease in attenuation during cyclic sample loading process and decrease in weight caused by hydrolysis and a decrease of - 5% to - 35% in ultimate deflection to failure with ageing according to the embrittlement of the matrix and change in adhesion between fiber and matrix.
Test bed for electromagnetic generators powering MR rotary dampers
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Sapiński, Bogdan; Jastrzębski, Łukasz; Majdak, Piotr
A laboratory test bed for testing electromagnetic generators to power rotary magnetorheological (MR) dampers is described in this paper The construction of the rotary MR damper and the electromagnetic generator are presented. The goal of experiments on the test bed was to determine the characteristics of the generator acting as the source of energy for the damper and the results are discussed.
Skyhook vibration control with energy regenerative system
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2009) Snamina, Jacek; Podsiadło, Andrzej Bogumił; Orkisz, Paweł
In the paper two-degree-of-freedom system with self-powered active control was considered. The skyhook control scheme was assumed in calculation. The DC motor was used as the energy regenerative damper that converts the vibration energy into electric energy. The regenerative energy was stored in capacitor or battery. The results of numerical simulation of the motion excited by random process were presented and the analysis of energy balance in the system was estimated.
