Comparison of real estate values determined in Poland and Ukraine in context of state border historical changes
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Adamczyk, Tomasz; Kovališin, Oleksandra Fedorìvna; Bieda, Agnieszka; Kolodìj, Pavlo
As an outcome of the state border changes determined by the warfare in Europe during the first half of the 20th century, some of the migrating population were forced to leave their properties located in what had suddenly become a different country. The country of Poland compensated its citizens for real property losses resulting from leaving such properties outside of the new country borders. The Polish legislation then came out with new procedures that enabled such a property valuation. These are based on the Real Estate Management Act. The valuation is conducted based on similar real property appraisal, properties that are located in comparable market areas within the current borders of Poland. The purpose of the study is to verify whether the determined value corresponds with the current market value within a local real estate market. As an example, we used a sample property located in Lviv. Value estimation was exercised twice - based on data available for the local market (Lviv) and for the market determined according to the comparability to Polish regulations, i.e., on the basis of real estate data in Krakow.

Assessment of observation network and state of exploration as to groundwater dynamics within Ukrainian hydrogeological province of Dnieper River
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Davibìda, Lìdìâ Ìvanìvna; Kuzʹmenko, Eduard Dmitrovič
In order to restart the state hydrogeological network and adhere it to European standards in the shortest possible terms, the following top-priority tasks shall be performed: an inventory of the observation stations, assessment of their representativeness, development of the concept for the monitoring system reformation, as well as creation of a single database with GIS-technologies. To solve the abovementioned tasks, we have carried out a geoinformation analyses concerning the locations of ground water monitoring stations within the largest hydrogeological structure in Ukraine (which is the water exchange basin of the Dnieper River). In the course of the study, a geodatabase has been created that includes digital cartographic layers of the topographic base, hydrogeological zoning under the geological structural, and water exchange principals as well as the surface and groundwater monitoring stations of different aquifers. The obtained results establish the grounds for developing the concept and introduce a system of hydrogeological monitoring in Ukraine based on the geoinformation approach and integrated water resource management in the river basins.

Application of integration measurement technologies in inventory of Bagry water body
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Gawałkiewicz, Rafał
Krakow's anthropogenic water bodies make up an attractive element of the city landscape. The largest and most-valuable in ecological, landscape and economic aspects are Bagry, Staw Płaszowski, Zakrzówek, and the complex of water bodies in Przylasek Rusiecki. Especially worth noting is the Bagry Reservoir (Zalew Bagry) located near the city center, which has yet to be thoroughly inventoried despite being used since the 1970s. The scientific studies carried out thus far have covered only selected elements of the geosphere, i.e., investigating the flora and fauna resources (biosphere and hydrosphere), searching for aggregate resources, and drilling the clay and silt by geological-engineering (lithosphere). So far, the underground part has not been geo-morphologically documented, even though Bagry has functioned as an attractive bathing resort and a sporting venue in the center of Krakow for many years. In many scientific works and press articles, a lot of information can be found on selected morphometric parameters, however, these values require verification, as they are not current for the most part and do not reflect the actual situation. Nowadays, surveying teams have measurement and information technology tools that allow for the creation of situation and altitude maps (of the surface) and hydrographical (bathymetric) maps, which will allow for an assessment of the characteristics of the water areas and their adaptation for community purposes (recreation, sport, didactic, education, nature, etc.). This article presents the results of hydrographical measurements of Bagry and a full analysis of the morphometric parameters of the reservoir.

Informational, educational, and scientific values of environmental data interactive visualizations
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Król, Karol; Gawroński, Krzysztof
Various programmatic techniques and tools are more and more frequently being used for the interactive visualization of data, especially environmental data. Their prevalence and domain of their use in environmental management as well as the promotion and popularization of scientific survey results have increased successively. Chosen examples of applications of environmental data interactive visualizations were presented in the paper, their advantages and disadvantages were discussed, and some of the most-popular techniques and tools used in their creation were listed. In conclusion, it was pointed out that data visualizations are being applied more and more in the natural and technical sciences. Moreover, it was noticed that environmental data visualizations can influence the efficiency of environmental management, and the repeatedly reiterated and multi-sourced transmission of data can publicize environmental problems as well as affect the ecological awareness of individuals or social groups.

Foundation and application of new method of trophic state assessment
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2018) Neverova-Dziopak, Elena; Kowalewski, Zbigniew
One of the tools used to achieve the objectives of the Water Framework Directive is monitoring, which should provide information on the status of surface waters. The priority task of water protection is the prevention of the eutrophication process. Appropriate protection measures should be based on the reliable assessment of trophic levels. There are different indexes for estimating the trophic state of surface waters, but they are generally characterized by their large complexity and high cost of assessment. This paper presents a new method of trophic-level monitoring, based on numerical indicator ITS (Index of Trophic Status). ITS is elaborated to consider the main functional characteristics of any ecosystem - the state of biotic balance - and can be calculated by using routine measurements of the hydrochemical characteristics of water. The proposed criterion is the instrument that simplifies the solution of many applied tasks: express-monitoring of surface waters, retrospect analysis and eutrophication process prognosis, setting of regional ecological standards of biogenic matter, solving engineering tasks, and for the purposes of mathematical modeling. Verification of the ITS criterion was carried out under the conditions of different types of waters in different countries. Actually, this method is gaining more popularity as a simple, reliable, and low-cost tool for trophic status monitoring.
