Determining density of regular grid for creating DTM using bicubic spline interpolation
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Burak, Konstântin Omelânovič; Kovtun, Vitalij; Levitskij, Roman; Makovičuk, Mikola
The article present the accuracy of DTM reproduction created by authors program of bicubic spline interpolation on the example of different categories of relief complexity. Correlations are established between the size of regular grid, category of relief complexity and a mean-square error of height finding. The graph is drawn showing the dependence of accuracy of point height finding from DTM, the size of regular grid and category of relief complexity.
Demography as essential variable in real estate price prognosis
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Dąbrowski, Janusz; Hvizdová, Eva; Polačko, Jozef
In publications regarding real estate market analysis, one can find a statement that demography has a crucial impact on the real estate market only over the long term. Such a conclusion usually results in disregarding demography as an independent variable of real estate market analysis conducted to assess the value of property. On the example of the Subcarpathian town of Jarosław, the author indicates that demography should nowadays be particularly taken into account when assessing commercial property value. Demographic changes over the last few years have been so substantial that ignoring them in real estate price prognosis would certainly be a huge mistake. Demography does not only mean quantity, it means quality changes as well. A quickly aging society along with the migration of young people to big cities in search of a job has significantly influenced the changes of a consumer's wallet wealth. Assuming that all other variables describing the real estate market do not impact its value, it can be indicated that demography can be an essential factor that influences statistical reasoning.
Suitability analysis of new air quality monitoring stations in Krakow as related to assessment of spatial and temporal variability of PM10 concentrations
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Gorzelnik, Tomasz; Oleniacz, Robert
The exceedance of air quality standards in urban agglomerations leads local communities to take actions that aim to improve aerosanitary conditions. For these actions to be efficient, it is essential to regularly collect accurate quantitative data that is able to characterize the degree of ambient air pollution. In order to achieve this objective, air quality monitoring systems are constantly being extended. In this paper, the usefulness of newly established air quality measuring stations in Krakow was examined. The assessment was carried out using statistical me-thods on the basis of the spatial and temporal variability of particulate matter (PM10) air concentrations over the period of 2016-2017. In the analysis, meteorological data (wind directions) were applied. The main part of this assessment was a pairwise comparison of the PM10 concentrations measured at particular stations. The differences between the average values and the Pearson correlation coefficient were considered. In order to verify the statistical significance of the obtained results, the t-Student test was conducted. The greatest absolute differences between the measured values occurred during the autumn-winter period (heating season). Notwithstanding the foregoing, a high variability was also observed among the traffic stations.
Conception of registration of underground spatial structures in modern 3D cadastral system
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Matuk, Olga
The rational administration and management of properties requires obtaining and gathering information about the properties and their surroundings as well as implementing an IT system that makes it possible to update information regularly and prepare analyses of such information. Work on creating a uniform 3D cadastre that would facilitate the rational management of those spaces that until now have been considered undevelopable is carried out around the world. There is ongoing work on the manner of making the transition between 2D and 3D cadastres. The continuing investment and economic development in Poland requires the development of a spatial registration concept for objects located above or below a plot of land. The recording of spatial object data is to be in line with initiatives and standards between the national standards for the harmonization of spatial data sets.
Application of GIS tools in spatial distribution modeling of historical monuments
(Wydawnictwa AGH, 2019) Rząsa, Krzysztof; Ciski, Mateusz; Ogryzek, Marek
Entry in the register of objects of cultural heritage (Polish: rejestr zabytków) is one of the statutory forms of legal protection of monuments in Poland. The registers of objects of cultural heritage are maintained by territorially competent voivodeship conservators of monuments. Voivodeship registers of objects of cultural heritage contain approx. 76,000 entries related to non-movable monuments that are differentiated by type. These objects can be cultural landscapes, urban and rural systems, construction units, works of architecture and con-struction, defensive structures, monuments of technology, cemeteries, parks, gardens, and other forms of designed greenery as well as places that commemorate historical events or the activities of outstanding figures on institutions. In this paper, research was conducted on the possibilities of using GIS tools in analyses regarding the spatial distribution of historical monuments in Poland. Data from the National Heritage Board of Poland (Polish: Narodowy Instytut Dziedzictwa) obtained from the dane.gov.pl website was analyzed. Maps showing the density of non-movable monuments specifying their types and locations were created. Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship was an area of detailed research. The generated maps can be used for creating and updating the national spatial development concept (Polish: koncepcja przestrzennego zagospodarowania kraju) as well as voivodeship spatial management plans.
