Fatigue resistance of magnesium alloy AZ 91D at high-frequency cyclic loading

The presented paper brings the results of Mg-alloy AZ 91D fatigue crack propagation and life measured under high frequency cyclic loading (frequency f = 20 kHz, temperature t = 20±10 Celsius degrees, alternating, symmetric tension-pressure, loading cycle asymmetry R = ±1) in the field of high number of cyclic from N = 6·10(5) cycles to N = 1·10(9) cycles.

Determination of loss coefficient in selected elements of radial fan

The article presents a method of measurement and calculation of pressure losses and loss coefficients for inlet cone and inlet chamber of the rotor. Cone coefficients and a total coefficient for a set of elements supplying the radial fan rim are presented and may constitute the base for calculating losses in similar rotors.

Kształtowanie się strat energii na suchych filtrach powietrza w zależności od materiału filtracyjnego, czasu eksploatacji filtru oraz rodzaju wyłapywanych zanieczyszczeń

The paper summaries the experimental data expressing the energy loss in a filter, depending on the applied filtering material, filter type and the length of its service period. Two types of filtering materials were considered: M1 and M2, widely applied in air filters in combustion engines. The first one is designated as 29/31 LE, the other as 20/66 LE AD-G. Their permeabilty would differ significantly. Characteristics of filtering materials were collected in an experimental programme in which four types of contaminants were considered: quartz dust, municipal dust, clay and loess. Less volatile fractions larger than 60 mum were eliminated, afterwards the dusts were mixed with air forming a twophase medium with the specified concentration. Thus prepared air-dust mixture was directed to the filter. Energy losses in the filter were determined indirectly, utilising pressure loss vs flow intensity characteristics for the tested materials M1, M2 and for all considered dust types. Results are graphed as plots of power in the function of filter service period, the flow intensity in the filter being the major parameter.

Kształtowanie parametrów strugi powietrza za wentylatorem osiowym w kanale kwadratowym i w przestrzeni otwartej za kanałem

The publication contains the results of experimental investigations of formation of flow parameters over possibility induced with axial ventilator. Formation of flow was held with the help of tunnel about square section, bundle-tubular flattener, reticular flattener as well as confusor. The results of investigations showing how the individual formative of the stream units influence developing of the profile of velocity, were presented in graphic form. The scores of investigations can be used in projecting aerodynamic tunnels, in which the fluid has to fulfill high requirements in measuring space what to uniformity of field of velocity as well as in many technological processes where streams of air or other gases have to fulfill the special requirements to schedule of velocity.

Nowa metoda obliczeń kinetostatycznych przesztywnionych łańcuchów kinematycznych

In the paper is presented application of a new method of solution of one-dimensional continuous elastic beam structures in kinetostatic calculations of over-rigid kinematic chains. There was formulated and solved boundary problem with the application of inertia forces in convection motion for the plane over-rigid four-bar linkage mechanism. There were evaluated the displacements of mechanism links, reactive forces in kinematic pairs and generalized equilibrating force.
